Great stay at Castiglione di Garfagnana
Had a wonderful stay at the villa in Castiglione di Garfagnana. The villa is spacious, very clean, relaxing, and has quite a few activities to do on the property. The views overlooking the property were fantastic and the pool was great. There's also a few small football goals, darts, bocce, volleyball, and more. Communication with the owner was very good as well whenever we needed him and definitely recommend going to Il Pozzo for dinner in town one night. We couldn't walk into town unfortunately as the bridge built by the owners across the river had been taken away by the rain, but it's only a 10 minute drive. A few things to consider for people looking to stay here: - Do NOT use Google Maps go to the latitude/longitude coordinates given by Vrbo to get to the property. This leads to a separate private property and the owners messaged us a meeting point at the entrance point of the track to take us to the property. - The off road track to the villa (~700 meters) can be very bumpy and slippery after rain.

Toller Urlaub
Tolles Haus mit moderner Ausstattung, bei der es an nichts gefehlt hat. Gute Matratzen, schöne neue Bäder, hoher Standard, traumhafte Aussicht. Der Pool war sauber, gut gepflegt und wurde täglich genutzt. Paolo war ein klasse Gastgeber, der immer erreichbar war und mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stand. Sein Bruder Luca machte für uns die beste Pizza Italiens. Es war rundum ein schöner und unvergesslicher Urlaub!

Amazing place.
We really liked this fantastic house and garden and amazing views. The kitchen were fully equipped, and a garden grill, and a pool in the garden, we couldn´t ask for more. The host Paolo was very accommodating. The setting of this property is relaxing and very silent, you only hear the birds in the forest. If you like, go to the nearest village Pieve Fosciana and eat at he Il Pozzo, very good food.

Perfect!
Ideale plaats om te onthaasten en te relaxen. Volledige rust met enkel prachtige natuur om je heen. De eigenaar wacht je bij aankomst op aan de oprijlaan. Cadeautjes voor de honden, drank en versnaperingen, cadeautjes voor in het zwembad, de Belgische vlag zijn allemaal dingen die je heel welkom doen voelen. Wij hebben NIETS gemist in het huisje, alles is heel mooi en verzorgd. Het zwembad en de tuin met een volleybalnet, voetbalveld, darts en petanquebaan waren toffe activiteiten voor tussendoor. De pizza-avond die door de eigenaar Paolo samen met zijn zoon en schoonbroer verzorgd werd, was subliem. In een zeer ontspannen sfeer genoten we van heerlijke pizza´s à volonté. Een echte aanrader. Supermarkten, restaurants zijn heel dichtbij. We zullen het prachtige huis en de omgeving zeker missen. Nogmaals dank aan Paolo om er voor ons een onvergetelijke vakantie van te maken.

Wonderful house in beautiful tranquil setting
We had a wonderful stay in this beautifully appointed and comfortable house that easily accommodated the six of us. Paulo (the owner) could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The local town is a short ten minute walk through the woods where there are options for eating, drinking and shopping. We had an electric car (EV) and were pleased to find charging options within walking distance. Thanks to Paulo and family for facilitating such a lovely two week stay.

Perfect Stay!
We had the best time for a week together with our 3 children. The house is situated in the perfect place. It is a very quiet place a few autominutes away from the road in the middle of the beautiful Tuscan nature. But yet also very close to the town, shops and restaurants. You can walk through the forest, which is an easy but beautiful walk! The property is spacious with large bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchenarea and livingroom. All very nice and very wel cleaned! The garden is huge, excellent for kids to play. Besides the great pool they enjoyed tabletennis, darts, football, volleyball and jeu de boules! We loved the pizza night that the owner organised together with his son and brother in law. All together we ate the best pizza's that they made for us in the pizzaoven outside. Thanks once again Paolo, Lorenzo and Lucca! Almost every day we saw deers running across the field and the driveway. Don't hestitate about this holiday property, we can assure you it is absolutely amazing!

Tolles Haus mit Erholung pur
Das Haus ist wirklich wundervoll. Es ist ruhig und abgelegen, dies sorgt für pure Entspannung. Das Haus ist sehr gut eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Das Grundstück ist riesig, ein sehr schöner Pool ist vorhanden. Auch Outdoor Aktivitäten gab es genügend. Der Pizzaabend mit Paolo und Luca war super. Die Pizza war total lecker, die beste Pizza, die wir im Urlaub gegessen haben. Paolo war stets per whatsapp erreichbar und immer freundlich und hilfsbereit.. Vielen lieben Dank für die zwei schönen Wochen.

Calm, remote and beautiful
We spent a whole week at this villa and it was a great time. No neighbours around, a lot of salamanders, very nice swimming pool and pefrect mountain view is what comes to mind at first. Rooms and bathrooms are nice and clean, in the kitchen there is everything you need to cook. You can go shopping in Coop that in nearby or in Conad Gallicano which is like 15min drive. Paolo is very helpful, he is always checking if all is ok and if you need some help or so. Pizza night organized by him and his family was a great experience, highlighted by his son Lorenzo stories about different types of pizzas. I strongly recommend this place if you are looking for some peaceful and quite place to relax

Amazing villa
A great location set outside a small town which you can walk into for the bakery, shop and pub. The villa was well thought out and was decorated beautifully. The beds were really comfortable, 3 large bedrooms and a mezzanine. It was well organised and spotless! There was so much kitchen equipment which made it easy to cook. The pool was lovely and we had access to a BBQ, covered area, pizza oven, boules court, football and volleyball court. There were lots of walks and villages to visit and a supermarket nearby. Paola came round one evening and cooked us pizza. It was a fun night getting to know them and great pizza, especially the chocolate and banana! They made us so welcome and nothing was to much trouble. We loved it and will be back.

Beautiful place and very good hospitality
We enjoyed this beautiful property and surroundings during 4 weeks in Mai. The weather was not very pleasant but the last few days. Anyway, we found time to relax in the house and visited several nice villages in the area. All in all, the place deserves full recommendation. Thanks again to Paolo and his family for their hospitality, and the Pizza evening :).

Tolles Haus und absolute Erholung garantiert
Die Kommunikation mit der Agentur verlief absolut professionell, Fragen wurden immer sofort beantwortet, wir waren absolut begeistert. Amazing place did not want to leave
Wow what a place. The photos do not do it justice. Nothing bad at all to say about this place. Beautiful farmhouse. Just far enough away for the peace and quiet but in driving distance to some beautiful villages. Also if you follow the footpath to the village you have to go for some homemade bread and next door is somewhere to get a cold beer or a glass of vino. Go to the restaurants that Paolo recommends they are definitely worth a visit. We also did wine tasting at La cantina del vino in Barga which you can get a taxi to with the help of the owner. It’s definitely worth a visit. Paolo the owner is very helpful and friendly and his pizza night is amazing. We could not believe how cheap thing are there. We will definitely be back next year.❤️

Wundervolles Haus mit Erholung pur
Das Haus ist wundervoll und die Räume großzügig geschnitten. Es sieht in live noch viel schöner als auf den Fotos aus. Die ruhige und abgelegene Lage sorgt für Enstpannung pur. Das Haus ist liebevoll und stilvoll eingerichtet und ist bestens mit sämtlichen Gegenständen, die man im Alltag braucht, ausgerüstet. Das Haus war super sauber, vor allem auch die drei Badezimmer, die sehr groß und modern gestaltet sind, wodurch man sich direkt von Anfang an wohlgefühlt hat. Durch die besondere Lage hat man eine Klimaanlage an heißen Tagen nicht vermisst, da es abends/nachts ausreichend abkühlt. Das Grundstück ist sehr gepflegt und großzügig dimensioniert. Neben dem super großen und sauberen Pool bietet das Haus aber auch viel Platz für weitere Outdoor-Aktivitäten, wie z.b. Fussball, Tischtennis und Bocca. Hier sind ebenfalls alle notwendigen Gegenstände, wie Tore, eine Tischtennisplatte oder sogar eine Boccabahn vorhanden. Ein besonderes Highlight war für uns der gemeinsame Pizzaabend mit dem Eigentümer Paolo und seiner Familie. Hier wurde uns die beste Pizza des ganzen Urlaubs geboten. Paolo und seine Familie waren super und stets für einen da Wir hatten einen wundervollen und erholsamen Urlaub und können dieses Ferienhaus und die super Betreuung durch den Besitzers nur weiterempfehlen. Den vorherigen Bewertungen. können wir uns nur anschließen, würde es 6 Sterne geben, würden wir auch diese vergeben. Grazie mille Paolo e famiglia per il meraviglioso soggiorno!

Toscana pur
Für uns war es ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt. Das Haus war einfach super. Es hat Alles was man benötigt. Die Landschaft und Umgebung einfach ein Traum. Das Haus liegt abseits der öffentlichen Strasse und garantiert Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit pur. Großen Dank an Paola, der immer mit Hilfe und Rat zur Seite Stand. Danke an Paolo und Luca für den unvergessenen Pizza-Abend, mit Pizza aus dem hauseigenen Pizzaofen. Unsere Hunde hatten auch einen perfekten Urlaub und fühlten sich hier wie im Himmel. Eigentlich kann man nur sagen, ein perfekter Urlaub im perfekten Haus. Wir würden sehr gern wiederkommen! Vielen Dank und Grüße Floris & Familie & Hunde

3 Wochen Urlaub mit den Fellnasen…
Man kann es eigentlich nicht mit nur 5 Sternen ausdrücken wie schön es war, wenn man nicht selbst da war…!!! Wunder schöne, gepflegte Villa, wo es einem an nichts fehlt, mit traumhafter Umgebung eingebettet in der Natur mit einem Panorama was schwer zu übertreffen ist… Schöner und regelmäßig vom Eigentümer gepflegter Pool mit ausreichend Platz im großen Garten für Liegen um zu entspannen… Auch sportlich konnte man auf dem Anwesen das ein oder andere unternehmen wie z.B. Fußball auf dem kleinen Fußball Feld mit zwei Toren, Tischtennis, Dart und andere kleine Gesellschaftsspiele für im freien… Die unendliche Ruhe auf dem Anwesen wurde wenn, nur von den Rehen die Nachts ihre Rufe gesendet haben, oder vom Wind der über die Felder zog unterbrochen…Einfach Erholung und Ruhe PUR…!!! Paolo, der Vermieter, super nett und hilfsbereit, immer mit guten Tipps für Ausflüge und Restaurants zu haben… Auch unsere beiden Fellnasen waren sehr willkommen, hatten sie doch beide ein Hundespielzeug und einen Napf bei der Anreise bekommen… Einen sehr schönen Abend hatten wir bei unserem „Pizza Abend“ mit Luca (Schwager), Lorenzo (Sohn von Paolo) und natürlich Paolo, die Pizzen im eigenen Pizzaofen der auf dem Anwesen ist für uns zubereitet haben…Für jemanden der gerne gut und viel Pizza ist ein unvergesslicher Abend… Super NETT…Super LECKER…Einfach Perfekt… Vielen Dank, Grazie mille Paolo für drei wunderschöne Wochen…

Top-Ferienhaus mit Vollausstattung
Ich würde auch 6 Sterne vergeben, wenn es die gäbe. Mit dem Ferienhaus haben wir eine Unterkunft gefunden, die unsere Erwartungen mehr als erfüllt hat. Das Haus zeichnet sich durch Sauberkeit und Vollausstattung aus. Wer Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit vom Trubel sucht, der findet hier sein Paradies. Die Garfagnana ist eine herrliche Gegend. Paolo, der Eigentümer, hat für einen abwechslungsreichen Aufenthalt an alles gedacht: Neben dem Swimmingpool gibt es div. Sportmöglichkeiten am Haus, z.B. Tischtennis, Volleyball-Badmintonnetz (für Badminton Schläger, Bälle mitbringen) Schaukel, Dart, Gartenspiele…selbst ein “Bolzplatz” ist vorhanden. Zusätzlich hält er eine Menge an Ausflugs- und Restaurationstipps bereit. Man spürt, dass hier jemand mit viel Liebe zur Heimat ein Paradies geschaffen hat…zumindest war es das für uns. Ein Highlight war ein Pizzaabend, bei dem für uns im hauseigenen Pizzaofen eine reichhaltige Auswahl an landestypischen Pizzen gebacken wurde. Vielen Dank für diese Auszeit vom Alltag.

Wunderschönes Haus in ruhiger Umgebung
Wenn man das Objekt über die zugegebenermaßen bescheidene Zufahrtsstraße (befestigter Feldweg, für tiefergelegte Fahrzeuge schwierig) erst einmal erreicht hat, wird man für alles entschädigt: eine traumhafte Lage mit Fernsicht auf die umliegenden Gebirgsgipfel in völliger Ruhe. Das Haus ist hervorragend eingerichtet, die Küchenausstattung lässt nahezu keine Wünsche offen. Bäder und Sanitär in bestem Zustand, der große Pool sauber und regelmäßig gewartet. Paolo (der Eigentümer) steht jederzeit gerne mit Rat und Tat zur Seite und veranstaltet auch einen Pizzaabend, bei dem in einem am Anwesen befindlichen Holzbackofen Pizzen gebacken werden. Wir haben dies wie unseren gesamten Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Für Ausflüge zu den Highligts der Toskana eher ungeeignet, da zu abgelegen. Lucca ist aber in einer knappen Stunde erreichbar. Vom Haus aus lässt sich wunderbar walken, per Auto im umliegenden Gebirge wandern und es gibt zahlreiche malerische Orte zu entdecken. Bäckerei (im Nachbarort) auf idyllischem Pfad fußläufig in 10 min erreichbar.

Great Location!!!!
We had a wonderful time out. The house is top and the location is a dream. The owner is always on hand and there is nothing missing. Approx. in 10 min. by car, you have several options to go out to eat. Many thanks!!!

Complete relax
Fantastic experience! The property is amazing clean and fully equipped. The owner Paolo was great and even came one evening with his brother in law to make us pizzas. Highly recommend
