"House was ideal for our group, with a large, well-equipped kitchen, large great room and sofa/tv, and an easy walk to the dock where we could keep our boat. Also not far off the main channel and we were able to find a beach just inside the 5 MPF zone. Would definitely stay again."

"We are familiar with river rentals, its not the ritz. The property provided everything they promised, the room was clean, and had all the basic essentials. The actual location on the map was not the same but it still met the beach front description. If you are a first time renter on the river, you should lower your expectations, if its clean, the AC works and, description is 75% correct, your in good shape. If i had a complaint it would be that it was vary hot out and the AC is a small wall unit...

"Enjoyed our stay at Steps to the River. House met our needs in terms of amenities. Coffee maker too small for a house that sleeps 8. Beautiful view from patio. Location is convenient, close to river, close to Martinez Lake cantina and Fisher's Landing cantina."

"Communication with Courtney, the property manager, was fine until our arrival. We arrived around 4pm and the door code did not work. I called 4 times, and texted many times with ZERO response. We have a friend who knows Courtney’s husband and he gave us a different code. That didn’t work either. Finally Courtney’s husband came down to the unit and got my husband in. "I reserved this cottage for a fishing tournament. I and my tournament partner both had last-minute crises that kept us from using our reservation. His was personal and mine was medical. So my ratings for the cottage are based on photos and communication with the manager. It is the latter that made me write this review. Courtney’s communication was excellent and she was so gracious about our fiasco. I will try again for my next tournament at Fishers Landing, on Martinez Lake."

"I tried to check in but there was no keys and the lady in charge and who handled the stay had an emergency and was not around. I ended up not getting to check in. We never got to even see our room. I tried to contact her but she never returned my email. Maybe something happend to her Hope she’s alright. We were out the money we spent I assumed. Thanks"
