Magnificent location - in bad need of repair and proper maintenance
The location is fantastic, access to the sea spectacular, the terrace offers beautiful views of the surroundings, the sea and the sky. The house is spacious.
However - sadly - the place is poorly maintained and it seems a thorough cleaning must have taken place a long time ago (although the cleaning fee is EUR 120!). On the photos the house looks much better than it is in reality. A lot of furniture inside and outside the house is broken or in bad shape (cupboards doors, drawers, outside cushions are torn and dirty, outside chairs with holes, outside lights broken, etc.). In general there seems to be no maintenance and if there is any, it is makeshift (even the lock of the main door seems to be provisional).
The two people of our party sleeping in the lower floor appartment had to change rooms (luckily there were enough) because of an invasion of centipedes. We were told that this was normal due to the weather - and we should close the doors. Well, the doors had been closed, unfortunately the centipedes were crawling out of the wall (the rocky part).
Staff were friendly and during our stay, some more windows were equipped with insect screens. However, I guess there's little they can do from an office in Milano and the caretaker - although friendly - seemed to be rather helpless.
