Treasured Getaway
We enjoyed this stay very much. Once we arrived I was able to get into the kitchen to get a home cooked meal going quickly. The owner has thoughtfully organized the kitchen with everything needed to make this possible. What stood out the most about this adorable house was it being thoroughly clean. Thank you for having us and we hope to return soon to visit our son again.

Cozy cabin in a great location!
The cottage was a cozy stay during a chilly couple of days of rock climbing at nearby Sand Rock. The cottage was clean and warm, and the hosts were very kind and responsive. The cottage does not have internet, and spotty cell service, but I consider this to be a plus for a weekend away with the family! I would highly recommend it for families looking for an affordable trip to Northeast Alabama for a few days.

Cute little House
Had a nice stay, very quite area. Was able to have a small thanksgiving dinner with family that is currently living in the same area. Daisy the donkey loves carrots!!

Country get away!
The cottage was great! Once I learned where the raised floor was, no problem! It was quiet and peaceful. Only one suggestion...tighten the handles on the skillets! The wobbly handles are a burn hazzard when cooking. Property manager was quick to respond. Great place for a relaxing get-away!!

Peace & Quiet near Everything We Love Alabama
This place is GREAT if you need Clean Country Quiet Time with great dining close by. A few reasons we didn’t want to leave was Fishing the best crappie lake in the SE (across the road) or doing outdoor adventures like rock climbing, waterfalls, caves, parks, water parks, etc… We enjoy visiting Trade Day Flea Market in Collinsville, about 10 minutes up the road.

Peaceful getaway with family!

Outdated and uncomfortable
Didnt expect luxury but did expect comfort. Beds were very uncomfortable. Pillows were lumpy and wore out. All the towels smelled mildewed. The chair/recliner was broken and could nit be pulled out from the wall. The couch was old and very uncomfortable. The bathroom toliet and tub made bubble sounds when the washer or dishwasher were running. Also u can barely see any of the lake from the porch but the donkey and horse did still make sitting outside peaceful. The place was clean for the most part but wouldnt recommend if u want to chill out in the living room or sleep in a comfortable bed. Also bring ur own pillows and towels...

ABT Championship 2023
We came up for the ABT Championship and stayed 4 nights at the cabin. It was very peaceful and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was very close to several boat ramps. The donkey was also very welcoming 😊
