"Location is primo. On the boardwalk and Fitzroy beach. You can’t beat sitting on the deck in the evening hearing the surf 👍very comfy bed. Not so comfy inside couch area however didn’t sit around inside much. 😎"

"This is a lovely, quiet, small basic cabin, ideal for one or two nights, but would prefer more rooms if staying longer in New Plymouth. Shirley is a lovely host and the description of the cabin is as it was. Very handy & convenient to New Plymouth attractions."

"Wonderful three nights at this lovely cosy bach which has everything you need. Relaxing and quiet, only sounds were the river, the odd farm animal noise and birds singing! Fabulous for our two dogs, they had great fun playing in the garden, running on the nearby beach and swimming in the river. Bridget was a wonderful host and was very accommodating when we needed to change our dates."

"We had a one night staycation at this property. It was great to be able to walk to the pub and cafes. The property was nice an clean and the bed was super comfy. I gave it 4 stars rather than 5, only because the couch and chairs appeared to be like reception furniture and wasn't awesome for relaxing in the evening. It would be nice to have a decent couch that two people could relax on comfortably. Otherwise, it was great. Nice selection of teas and thanks for the cookies!"

"So many helpful & personal details made this a top notch experience. From noticing the red mailbox upon entering the property, directional signs, a personalized welcome greeting, all made me feel very comfortable and appreciated. Details in the suite itself, such as crown and chair molding, up to date appliances and fixtures, the softest blanket I ever felt, made this special. And clean? My goodness! Clean as a whistle! "We had a great stay here. The property is very clean and comfortable, the owners go the extra mile by providing a few drinks and snacks, communication was very clear, and we felt we had privacy even though it's part of their home. It's in lovely location near the port, but still walking distance to town for dinner. Highly recommend and would stay again."
