The gift of time

This Christmas the family decided to give time and make memories. That is exactly what we did. Perfect place to do so. The cottage is clean and in a perfect spot. We will be back!

Cozy cabin!!!

Very well equipped! Very clean and inviting! Great for price within walking distance to town beach and mushroom houses! Very accommodating! Felt like home! Would stay again! So happy it was pet friendly

Fall getaway

A lovely home in a nice neighborhood. Clean. Well stocked kitchen supplies. Nice parking for pickup and 19’ boat. Highly recommend!

Good location. Property is dated. Needs TLC. Photos do not show size of rooms accurately. Cable TV did not work luckily Son in Law was able to fix it. Overall it was an average experience

Serenity Cottage

Relaxing stay

Can’t wait to return!

This was our second stay at this great little place in Charlevoix. Everything is wonderful, kitchen is well appointed, place is cozy and location is superb. Walk to beach and town. When can we go back?

clean, convenient

Overall, wonderful place to stay. Walked everywhere, kitchen fully equipped. We are not used to heat, so would have liked A/C and darker curtains, but we were warned about this beforehand! Also, basement light was out. Otherwise, all great!

Really enjoyed our accommodations at this property in Charlevoix

We had a great time in Charlevoix and the house was very comfortable and all in order per the listing. The proximity to the beach and to the downtown area was wonderful. And we appreciated all of the quick replies from the property owner prior to our stay. Thanks!

To visit area

Great location and yard in quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed the back deck and yard with our two small fur babies. Clean and well equipped with all the necessary supplies. Easy walk to town and beach through neighborhood . Earl Young hobbit houses scattered in neighborhood which makes for interesting walks. Thank you to our host! Enjoyed your city and our stay!

Charlevoix cottage

Really great. The exterior seemed just a tiny bit weathered or in need of paint relative to other places in the neighborhood so when we pulled into the driveway we weren’t sure what to expect inside but it was lovely, charming and wonderful. Perfect location, we walked into town many times, and to the lake. Inside was cozy and felt like a cabin in the woods despite being a half mile from the city center. There are enough beds for 4 kids and two couples (including a loft upstairs for the kids) but it’s probably from a square foot standpoint a bit small for that unless you get along super well with the other family. We’d absolutely bring our kids there alone though. We will probably rent again, but likely just ourselves since it was just so nice and relaxing that way. Highly recommend.

Great time, great location

Disappointment for the cost

We were very disappointed with our stay. It was very costly for a very unpleasant experience. We arrived and the house was brutally hot. It seems like it had not been used because of the smell and temperature. There was no air conditioning and there was a broken fan in the dumpster. I asked if there was AC and was told by the owner that I could bring a mattress down from upstairs if it was that hot for my guests (my two young children and husband). The owner mistakenly texted me instead of her manager and wrote “they probably didn’t even open the windows upstairs” which was quite rude when we had opened the windows and even brought in our own fans to make it more bearable. It would have been nice if someone would have opened the house up before we came to pull the hot air out like the owner said we should do. We were not able to use the upstairs at all while we were there due to the heat. It was definitely not worth what we paid for not sleeping well the whole time (due to the heat) and the owner basically saying that’s how Northern MI houses are in the summer. Huge huge disappointment to not want to be in a house at all you rented for 4 days.

Vintage charm

This is a sweet little vintage house that has comfortable, clean and current furnishings. I was very appreciative of the many hangers in the closets, towels and plenty of hooks and rods in the bath being there was lots of sharing with one full bathroom. The small back deck had plenty of seats and was a nice surprise. We really enjoyed our time at Serenity Cottage and if you can get the sleeping arrangements to work it's quite nice.

Perfect!

The house was perfect for us. Just the right size and everything we needed. Location in Charlevoix was great! We will definitely recommend this place to friends who want to vacation in Charlevoix.
