Great spot for family vacation
Excellent spot for a quiet, comfy family lake vacation.
The cove is really lovely, peaceful and safe. Lake access is from a very well-maintained dock and walkway. Kayaks, stand-up paddleboard, many sizes of life vests were super helpful. Ideal for families.
Big property in a quiet, private area. We liked that there are actually two buildings (one is an apartment above the garage), separated by the driveway. There are a lot of great things about the house. Bedrooms are big, beds are super comfy. Porches and decks are really nice; great furniture, fans and shades. We spend most of our time outside on the deck. Deck dining table and chairs, grill, etc. are in great shape.
Just note that there are some funky things about the house as well. The two main bathrooms are very tight with an unusual layout, requiring you to walk into the hallway to use the sink. Upstairs shower leaks actively into the downstairs shower below; clearly been that way for some time. I get that this would be a major repair and would take a while to schedule and undergo. Both showers work great, but if you're trying to shower during or after someone showers upstairs, you're going to get water from above raining on you through the ceiling light fixture. Kitchen needs baking dishes. Couch needs repair. Garage apt smells very musty. Gate doesn't function on one side, open all the time.
That said, we really would stay again! Rental co was extremely responsive and great.
