Good place in Fluvanna County
We needed to stay in the area for a few days. This was a perfect choice. Small but cozy and well equipped. The kitchen area is good for fixing a sándwich. The surroundings are beautiful.

Desiree went above and beyond making us feel welcomed. The suite was loaded with goodies and information for the area. Highly recommend their place. Great location for anything you want to do. Located in a beautiful neighborhood with lots of deer and wildlife.

Cozy Retreat
This was the best VRBO we have ever stayed in. They have thought of everything. I hesitated to stay in a place that was part of someone’s home, but this was very private, beautiful setting and the owners were wonderful. Our pups loved the long windows they could look out of, the trails in the woods and the lovely walkable neighborhood. So close to lots of historic places and wineries. We will be back!

Best place in Palmyra
My family loves Deer Hideout Retreat! This was our second stay. We love how well equipped the place is, it’s super clean, and the property (with trails!) is beautiful. The hosts have put a lot of thought into their guests’ comfort and have added so many nice touches. Check in and out is easy. If you need to get away, this is the place to go!

Quiet getaway
We stayed so we were close to my daughters wedding venue. The quiet serene of the location and the daily deer encounters made our downtime between functions very relaxing. Will definitely look to book with them again in the near future to check out some local attractions!

Great for a weekend trip
Our family had a great weekend stay at the Deer Hideout. The kitchette was perfect for morning breakfast and coffee before a long day exploring the area. The owners provided a great welcome board including some excellent homemade banana bread, which made us feel like we were home.

Charlottesville Work Conference
Beautiful, peaceful, very clean and private. Went there because I had a conference for work in Charlottesville and it gave us a great chance for my husband and I to spend some alone time together. Could not have picked a better place and will definitely come back sometime in the near future.

Deer all around with a beautiful landscaped property

Home away from home!
Our host Kevin and Desiree bring their A-game to hosting with Vrbo! Our guest suite was clean inside and out, and lavishly equipped with the basics as well as the extra’s such as samples of coffee and other goodies from local merchants. The backyard and outdoor scape was serene, private and inviting for rest, relaxation which the deer also enjoyed a visit. Not only was the suite and outdoor Pet friendly and welcoming, so are Kevin and Desiree! We brought our “boy” Beau a 15 month old 100 lb Rhodesian Ridgeback with us as he is family. Kevin and Desiree were very welcoming and accepting of Beau and the guest suite and backyard were very accommodating to him as well. So, if you have a Pet-family member, bring him/her with you there is plenty of room and welcoming host! Kevin and Desiree were open to a brief meet and greet and this was important to us as guest to have a brief moment to meet our host. If we had more time to visited, sharing a cup of coffee and chat would have been welcomed. All in all, our guest suite, and our host was like a home away from home, and our host like good neighbors!

I normally travel 3-4 times a year for the last 25 plus years, this was one of the nicest places we have stayed. The attention to detail and comfort shown for guest was amazing! Lots of extras and special touches, we will definitely rent again if back in the area!

Wonderful Place to Stay
This was one of the cleanest places we’ve stayed at. The hosts had so many amazing little touches, we felt like we were staying at an 5 star hotel! Great communication as well. Would recommend, I wish I could give them more than just 5 stars!

The only things I would do differently: -A fire pit. -Put out some deer bait every now and then. The property and neighborhood are perfect for them.
