Wonderful night away
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful home. As a group of 4 sisters and our elderly mother, the house was just what we needed. Excellent communication, clean and tidy with everything we needed.

What a fantastic place to stay! The cottage was so well equipped with everything you could need. It was very homely, clean and comfortable with a lovely garden for relaxing in too. For entertainment, there was a large selection of books, dvds, cds, games and jigsaws. Although I didn't meet the host, I had some very friendly text messages from her. We were only here for two nights but wished it could have been much longer but we had to move on. In five weeks of travel, this was the best of the places we had stayed in!!

Cottage on Cadman Street
Cheviot Township is a lovely place to visit and the Cottage on Cadman Street is a real gem. The accommodation and furnishings are appointed to a very high standard and include the essential amenities for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. The property is extremely comfortable and has a lovely garden and rear patio area. Lesley is a brilliant host, and you are made to feel welcome and at home right from the start. This includes flowers in the kitchen area upon your arrival which is a very nice touch. The cottage is located in the centre of the town and is an easy drive to Gore Bay and the scenic Cathedral Cliffs Gorge. I would recommend the Cottage on Cadman Street to anyone who is visiting this area of the South Island and is looking for outstanding accommodation for a comfortable and relaxing break.

Very nice transit
Very comfortable house. Nice garden, which our dog enjoyed - a truly "pet-friendly" house. We only stayed one night as it was a convenient overnight transit. Kitchen was very good, comfy lounge, many choices of bedroom. Host was excellent in terms of communication - very helpful and easy. It was lovely to stay here as the property was as advertised – I cannot say the same for other Bookabach properties. Before staying here, we stayed at a “Cottage” in Windwhistle (the Granary) that turned out to be 2 cottages conjoined by a paper-thin wall. Very noisy - neighbours clumping up and down creaky stairs next door, talking (you can hear everything), being woken up (at night and morning). Awful. This property is the opposite – very nice and no “surprises”.

A lovely homely house, spacious, very clean, plus plenty of room for x3 boys and 2x active dogs. A beautiful garden - a special treat. Loved the extras. Sorry about our dogs not 'getting-on' with the two neighbouring dogs....they are a bit protective. Cheviot has a nice village feel. We all enjoyed the location to the coast/beach + Hanmer Springs.

Came to relax at Cadman Cottage
My partner, dog, and I needed to find somewhere to relax, close to Christchurch, after a few tough weeks. Cottage on Cadman was perfect. It is well appointed, warm and cosy, with a comfortable bed, a logburner, sunny back decking, and large section for the dog. We spent four very happy days, and spent time exploring locally. Would recommend it to others.

Lovely, cosy cottage
This cottage was perfect for an autumnal break. The fire made afternoon naps a real luxury when it was drizzly outside. It was so nice to bring our little dog too. I loved the décor - very kiwi and reminded me of holidays as a child. Recommend this spot for a chilled out, kiwi break.
