Great property in Evanston

Welcoming 2 bd 2 ba duplex in super location. We stayed here once before for 10 days and loved it, so we came back when we were visiting the grandkids again. Would definitely stay here again.

Evanston stay

Fantastic Property!

The apartment is great! It is really well-appointed, comfortable, cute, and extremely clean. It is also super-convenient to get in and out of Chicago. Evanston itself is charming with lots of convenient shopping. The host was responsive and flexible. Highly recommend!

At Home at Harvey House

We had a wonderful stay in January and felt immediately at home. Harvey house is clean, quiet, and comfy. The kitchen is up to date with nice appliances. The bright dining room and living area provide plenty of space for work, study, family meals, and movies on the big tv. Great communication, easy parking and check in, convenient to NU, downtown Evanston, and the lake.

Great apartment, great location

This apartment is spacious, clean, recently-renovated and quite nicely decorated. It's on a quiet street with plenty of parking. Check-in was smooth, and the host is friendly and communicative. We'll definitely be back.

A wonderful 2nd stay

The Harvey House provides everything you might need. It is well kept. Kitchen is well labeled. The host is very friendly and quick to respond to messages. Will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful getaway for Mom and Adult Daughters

My sister and I brought our Mom here for a long weekend of shopping (new Wayfair store) and relaxation for her birthday. Great location and great house. Clean, safe neighborhood and great deck off the back. Super fun weekend. I would recommend this location.

Great place for kids

I took my kids on a quick 3/4 day vacation to Chicago. We all loved the apartment—it was clean and there was a backyard for the kids to hang out in. It was close to downtown Evanston too, which meant close proximity to many great restaurants.

Thanksgiving HQ

We spent a great week in the Harvey House over Thanksgiving. Quiet residential neighborhood but very close to stores etc The apartment was very clean and tastefully furnished, kitchen well equipped for meals! We hope to return some day!

Delightful

This lovely home was perfect for my husband and me and my parents. It is charming and comfortable, and the hosts have done a great job making it feel special. I really appreciated the little things that made it so welcoming -- coffee, snacks, and coffee available, thick towels and bedding, and a well-stocked kitchen. Check in was a breeze and communication was excellent. We will definitely stay here again.

College Check-In

It was great. The location was perfect for doing what we needed to do and it was convenient and quiet. I liked the charm of the place from the large living room to the nice kitchen. It was relaxing and I would definitely stay there again.

Perfect, dog-friendly apartment in a great location

We loved this gorgeous two flat for our stay in the Chicago area. We needed a place that was dog-friendly and close to Northwestern and this was spot on. Our dogs loved the fenced backyard and I loved that I could relax and enjoy the space with my dogs. Lots of nice little touches in this place and we felt right at home. I will definitely book again for a long stay in Chicago.

So we’ll appointed

Probably the best appointed place we have ever stayed. Got in too late to grocery shop? No worries —coffee (plus sugar and creamer) there for you. It’s raining? There’s an umbrella in the closet. Truly all the comforts of home. Very clean and comfortable. Especially loved reading the history of the home (framed in the foyer).

Cracks, cracks and more cracks...

I'll start by saying this was a lovely home and there were lovely folks in charge of its maintenance. Unfortunately, the folks above us were not lovely. In their defense they were teenagers and much of their frontal lobes are still under development. However, I would say that having a NYE party in a historical apartment, directly above 2 teachers (myself and my guest) was probably not the best idea. I didn't think that I would need to take pictures of the cracks they were causing in the ceiling, yell at the 75+ teenagers above us to leave before they collapsed the ceiling, or take the police on tour through the home on NYE but alas that is unfortunately what happened. Minus all this NYE drama, my stay was lovely. Our dogs may have a tiny bit of PTSD because of this but I will take that over 18-20-year-old children literally bursting through our ceiling.

One major problem.

Everything went smoothly except for one major issue. The heat in the master bath was not working. It was 17 degrees outside. My wife was not pleased. I messaged the manager who told me there was nothing that could be done over the weekend. I recommend an electric space heater be made available for emergencies. Overall the manager was responsive. Good location. Nice neighborhood.
