Vacation

Checked in on July 17. We were told living room air was in process of being fixed. Waiting on it to come in on boat. Thank goodness bedrooms had air conditioning. Very hot in house and shut bedroom doors at night to keep cool. I know it was no one’s fault. But was very warm. Than after living room air was put in we noticed the television screen was cracked. Notified management and took pictures. We had been gone when ac was being installed over the television. Was informed that because I had paid for insurance would be covered. Which was not damaged by us.

Palm Paradise

Overall, we were extremely pleased with our 24-night stay. Jance (the owner) and her local management team were more than accommodating when we needed something. We would highly recommend this property if you want seclusion, a comfortable place to relax, and the entire beach to yourself.

Enjoyable relaxing quiet beach trip

Roaring waves and relaxing sunny days with beautiful sunrises and sunsets right at your backdoor. Water is not swimmable at this home but there are many areas around the island to swim and sunbathe, some even have food drinks such as Gordens beach.Go to Max's to eat and drink or many other restaurants around the island. Sight see at Deans blue hole is a must. Beaches here are great also. Our stay was very comfortable, arrangements and communication were very helpful. Thank you Janice for sharing your home away from life for a few days to just unwind. I would highly recommend this to destress and unwind. Gordens beach

Quiet get a way

We loved staying at this beautiful beach front home. It was very private including the lovely beach. We never saw another person at the house or on the beach. Its the best place to truly decompress

Nice Stay at Beachfront Home in Miley

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the property! It was clean and well appointed with amenities. The kitchen was well stocked and the property was well maintained. There was trash and debris on the beach when we first arrived but the owner had it taken care of promptly. Unfortunately, the weather was windy the entire time of our stay, but that wasn't the owner or manager's fault! Janice, thank you for a very nice stay!

Another amazing vacation

This was our second time staying at Palm Paradise and it is still our favorite vacation spot. We love everything about the home and island. We love Gordon’s beach and Gallaway beach. Janice is always so helpful and responds quickly to any questions. We can’t wait to go back.

Perfect in Every Way

Long Island is our favorite Caribbean destination. The most beautiful and diverse beaches with absolutely no crowds. This was our first stay on the Atlantic side and we loved the constant breeze. The house is great and perfectly appointed. The nice composite deck had a beautiful view and the walk down to the beach and private dock is awesome. We did have an issue with the water while there which made it difficult to shower or use any water. However, Bob and Janice were so responsive and did everything possible to get it fixed and make sure we were comfortable. Getting parts, workers, and repairs done on an island is no small task, and even though it wasn’t repaired until our last full day, it was still quite impressive the time and effort that was made to make things right. For us it’s about the beaches and exploration of the most beautiful island ever. So we just rolled with it! We had a blast and wish we were still there!

It was Paradise

We had a fantastic time. The location is perfect. The beach at the house, was a great walking beach and swimming. It was close to good restaurants and other great exploring places. The house had a we needed to be able to relax and enjoy. Morning coffee on the beach is how we started each day.

Wonderful and peaceful stay

We loved this house and location so much! Janice was a wonderful host and even made us delicious homemade cookies. The house was spotless, very comfortable and had everything we needed. I wish we could go back right now! We saw 2 people on the beach our entire week there, it's a gorgeous secluded spot and there is great swimming just south of the house. The deck was a great spot to have coffee and watch the sunrise, eat meals and look at the stars at night.

PALM PARADISE IS AMAZING

Loved this home!!! the VRBO listing was very accurate! The house was well appointed, beds were clean and comfortable. The view was breathtaking. The home has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. The hosts were quick to respond and the book at the home contained lots of information that was helpful to navigate the island! Would definitely stay again at this beautiful home!

Spectacular home oceanfront

From the moment we landed until we left, the experience here was first rate, both in the cleanliness and thoughtful features of the property and the generous hospitality of the hosts, who went to great lengths to ensure our stay was perfect Home has all the comforts one could ask for, with lots of privacy and steps from beautiful empty beaches. It is located off the beaten path, which we like, but easy drives to fishing guides and local eating spots. A perfect quiet getaway, we will certainly stay here again. Also, the photos in the listing very accurately depict the condition of the property, which is not true of everywhere we have stayed.

Paradise

We stayed 10 days at Palm Paradise and loved every minute. Myself, husband, and 16 year old son could not have been happier with the accommodations. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were so soft and comfortable. The view was amazing!! We had a welcome basket from the home owner Janice when we arrived which was a special touch. The house was fully equipped with essentials plus beach chairs and margarita machine!! There were boards games and WiFi for downtime. Also plenty of books to choose from! About 5 minutes from the house was a grab and go food from Ms. Molly which we used several times since it was an easy text to order and she would text us when to pick up. We enjoyed Gordon’s Beach Bar & Grill. They had excellent rum punches!! The beach was breathtakingly beautiful! We also enjoyed Dean’s Blue Hole, Gallaway beach, and Columbus Point. We also ate at Letta’s restaurant & bar and enjoyed good company. There is a cute souvenir shop next door with local made crafts. We have been to Nassau and Eleuthera on several trips and now rank Long Island as our favorite!! Janice truly made our stay perfect. She was very responsive to any texts and helped guide us to great day trips on the island. She even made us homemade cookies when our internet was down for less than a day:). Thank you so much Janice for a trip my family will never forget. We plan on coming back to see you soon! Much love - The Williams Family

Paradise at Paradise Palm

Absolutely beautiful! House and beach are even better than pictured. Love the location towards the south end of the island. Janice is a gem! She is willing to help with anything. Please dont tell everyone about Long Island....we like it without the crowds.

Bahamas Paradise

Janice is always a pleasure to interact with and does her best to accommodate in whatever means possible to make guests happy and feel welcomed. The list is long, but Janice let us use her air compressor to inflate our tires in a rental car that had its share of issues (ask for her recommendations and use only hers), provided grocery shopping since we came in on a holiday and stores were closed, fresh baked goods, etc. This was our second stay at her property. The beaches are an endless bounty of blue water and are so welcoming. We love exploring the island and all of the hidden treasures. Janice makes herself available and makes certain you’ll be taken care of. The Bahamas and their people are amazing. Janice, we wish you nothing but the best!

It is perfect!

We spent two weeks at Janice’s vacation home and it was perfect! The house was beautiful and very well maintained! It had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The views from the house were stunning, and only a few steps away, down a cool little path is a beautiful beach where you are the only ones there. During our stay, we saw a flock of flamingos fly overhead, and several crabs on the beach and I enjoyed my daily scavenger hunt for shells! The people of Long Island are super friendly, they wave as you drive by and treat you like a local rather than a tourist. Max’s Conch Bar was a great little spot to meet people and Gordon’s Bar and Grill to the south was one of our favourite places to hang out. We have rented several houses though VRBO and had great experiences with owners but Janice is a true gem! She was so helpful in so many ways, from helping us through changes with our reservation at the beginning of the pandemic, and assisting us with car rentals and airlines. She was always available to answer any questions we might have had. Bottom line: If you are looking for a relaxing, friendly place to come to on your vacation, then Long Island is it, and if you are looking for a beautiful, quiet place that feels like your home away from home, then Palm Paradise is the perfect fit for you! Thank you, Janice, for everything!! We hope to see you again!

Enjoyed our stay

Palm Paradise is a very comfortable and clean home with a great view from the deck and inside. The 'no footprints' beach is just a few steps away for long walks and dips. Unfortunately, the wind and the waves were strong for most of our stay. Thank you Janice and Bryan for being great hosts!

Reboot - relax - reload

This place is the reason why I have been using this site for years and years (prev. home away). It is a home away from home, only with all the sunny and warm holiday vibes we European crave so badly at this time of year! The house is exactly like in the photos, just maybe more beautiful. You have everything you need and Janice is so helpful and kind. We took 1-hour+ walks on the beach every day for our 11-night stay and saw a total of 2 people and 1 dog. Despite what many here claim, you will get everything you need in the grocery stores. Hillside food supply turned out to be our favorite. If you are very picky you might need to go to a different one, I am a vegetarian and ate like a queen. If you are tired of overcrowded, over-busy tourist destinations, this should be your next booking.

Long Island Bahamas Stay

Janice and Bryan were nothing short of incredibly nice people. The island is beautiful and their rental property is also. We really enjoyed our time and Janice’s helpful advice both before getting there, as well as after we arrived. The island requires the use of a rental vehicle and Janice provided help in helping us find the best option to secure a rental car. She even bought Christmas presents for our two daughters, had snacks and beverages, and brought us supper since our arrival was much later than planned so we couldn’t get food at the stores before closing. I cannot say enough kind things about Janice and Bryan—and know that it’s refreshing to meet people that still understand the value of great customer service. Cheers friends!

Amazing home

Everything was as described in the listing. We’ve stayed in many places throughout the Caribbean and this is easily the cleanest. How was spotless. Janice was great to work with before and whenever needed during our stay. If you’re looking for a quiet, secluded retreat this one is hard to beat.

Amazing

I’ve been struggling how to put into words how wonderful this property is. The house is fantastic, wonderfully laid out with big windows looking out to sea, and a deck you can sit on to just chill and watch the waves coming in. The location is indescribably lovely - The beach goes on and on in either direction. We were here for 10 or 12 days and only saw two people on the beach the whole time. The house is clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. Everything is kept at a higher standard than other houses we have rented. We knew we wanted to stay on the Atlantic side of the island, knowing that the breezes would keep us cool (our trip was in July) and keep any bugs away - and we did not have any bugs at this house the entire time! Not one mosquito bite, not one Noseeum bite. That is an amazing thing to be able to say for a beach house in the Bahamas! The host, Janice, is extraordinarily helpful and nice. She stays nearby, but you never see her unless you ask her to come (text). She was wonderful when we had questions about things or needed assistance with anything. I’ve stayed at a few houses in the Bahamas, and this one really stands out in a big way. We could not have been happier. Just waking up and looking out at that amazing view was enough for us, but there were so many great things on top of that. I just want to say one last word about the people of Long Island. We really made some friends in our short time - All the people we met were extremely friendly and kind. I highly recommend this island and I highly recommend this house.
