"The home had a beautiful view. It was approximately 35 minutes from Santa Fe. The environment was very rustic and peaceful. The home has stairs to the upstairs bedroom and bathroom. It has steps to other rooms in the house so if you have mobility issues you might rethink the property. However it was beautiful and worked well for our stay, there is an amazing restaurant as you come off the mountain a must try, can’t remember name but the only one there."

"This property was a great place for our small family of 2 grandparents, 2 parents, a young aduly and 2 grandchildren under the age of 4 to stay. There were a total of 5 adults and 2 kids. We brought our own hand soap and paper towels because in most places that stuff isn’t provided, but there was not only hand soap, but laundry detergent, and shampoo available. "We loved staying at Jim and Mari Lu's home in the mountains above Santa Fe. "The house is located in a stunning part of N New Mexico. We brought a cousin from England and were able to take him to Bandelier, Taos Pueblo, and on a rafting trip and a Kayak trip on the Rion Grande. Seven of our family enjoyed the time there. We had separate alewpimg areas and lots of privacy. It was a great stay and the hosts were so responsive and kind."

"The house is in a very poor location, we didn’t have any issues but the whole town looked very poor. No restaurants nearby or grocery stores (there is a family dollar) so come prepared to cook all your meals, which we did thankfully so all was good. The home was nice and clean. We had a few issues with the water but it was remedied quickly. Over all it was a great trip and it accommodated our family of 11 and one infant just fine. We went skiing at Sipapu for 3 days and sledding down a hill...

"Our family just got home from an amazing and restful stay at Hilltop Hideout. We could not have found a more peaceful place to find rest as a family! The house has everything, all the way down to the smallest detail. We are so thankful for the memories made. If we make it back out to ski again next year (which we hope to do!) this will be our first option for lodging. Highly recommend!"

"I have stayed in log cabins before, real log cabins not prefab stuff so I know what a pain they can be maintenance wise. the logs twist and turn, its just what happens. we had more than a few drafts, but the heaters kept us warm. everyone slept well in the beds. the pond behind this place is an awesome sight in morning. it had a bunch of Canadian geese and ducks on it every morning. I took my kids and my grand kids skiing at Sipapu, they had a blast. drove up to Eagle nest in a pretty good snow...
