Talked to host once, he was in Germany and still called me back. I Never needed him after that.
House has pretty much everything you could need. Coffee grinder... some food, some condiments... every kinda pan and cooking utensil. Bathrooms are pretty nice. w/d works well enough. If it's not clear this is The Kingfisher House... there are t-shirts in every size and color in case you want to take one home. We were 2 couples, master bedroom was nice, huge closet and bathroom... but my partner and I decided to take the Queen bed downstairs... that bathroom is also awesome. The house does have a Sonos speaker--which is awesome-- but it is ancient and you will have to work to get it connected. Beach was sick. Riding the ferry is sick. Washington is an incredible place.

Fantastic Getaway
We wanted a short family getaway before the holidays. The Kingfisher Beach House was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make meals at home. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms made us feel like we were staying at a spa. We will be back for another visit in the future.

Great Getaway
Lovely location, house, and owner. We came up on a stormy weekend and no worries when the power went out as they have an automatic transfer to generator. Great location to kick back and relax. Looking forward to coming back in a warmer month.

Stunning views, comfortable space
Our family had a memorable time at Kingfisher beach house. We all agreed the best part was being right on the beach. We took way too many pictures of the gorgeous views. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of towels and other necessities. Andy was very responsive and made it easy to rent. I would recommend this property.

Great view!
We had a great time at the house. We gave a lower star only in terms of updates needed and or listing clarified for others! Owner's helpful and kind to work with. Property only had air conditioning in kitchen only.! Bedrooms stuffy and no airflow or air conditioning in any of bedrooms. I would be concerned coming in warmer months. Lighting in master bath inadequate and shower pressure very low. We needed to use downstairs shower. No window coverings in master bedroom upper windows and neighbors left on spotlight nightly . We really needed cushions for outdoor furniture and none were available. Very sparse furniture. No closets in 2 lower bedrooms. TV placed very high on wall hard to watch comfortably , and fireplace did not work well.

One of our best EVER!
Fabulous, fabulous!!! We've stayed in a lot of great VRBO properties, but this one makes our top three. Exactly as advertized, the home is right on the water with killer views plus serenity. Great birds!

Beautiful and peaceful
This home is wonderful in every way from the beautiful architecture and views out of every window to the comfortable beds and even to the games and puzzles (and yes we did three puzzles during our stay and all three had all the pieces!) The kitchen is easy to use and nothing was out of order in the house. The location is absolutely stunning. Lots of walks on the beach, especially during low tide, will give our family a lifetime of amazing memories including watching many bald eagles fishing, deer walking across the beach, and finding cute bunnies in the yard. Andrew was a fantastic host and we hope to stay here again in the future.

Wonderful escape
What a great getaway house! It is well-appointed, and the kitchen has everything we need. It was great to be able to charge our vehicle at the house. The beach was amazing for long walks, and terrific mountain biking was close by. The house is exactly as presented in the VRBO description, and the owner was easily accessible. We will be back.

All The Elements
We celebrated an anniversary with our family at this beautiful home. We were treated with days of sunny, spring weather, walks on the beach, bald eagle sightings, Rainier on the horizon, and the warming fire pit at night. Winter getaway
The Kingfisher Beach House is our favorite place to rent on Whidbey Island. The location is convenient to the ferry and the charming town of Langley. However, once you enter this gorgeous home, you may never want to leave! The house is pristine and elegant in design and function. From the fully stocked kitchen to the spa like showers, we were able to fully relax and enjoy our winter vacation. Every day was spent walking the beach for hours at low tide, watching birds and crashing waves, breathing in fresh ocean air. Our stay was truly enhanced by the thoughtful owner via messages and a wonderful welcome gift from local businesses. Thanks to Andy for the best impromptu getaway during the busy holiday season. It was effortless, rejuvenating and such a wonderful place to bond with our family.

Absolutely gorgeous location
We stayed for 3 nights, and it was lovely. Check in/check out couldn't have been easier. The house is thoughtfully designed and appointed. The kitchen has everything you will need to cook. The primary bed, is super comfortable. We didn't use the others. The main attraction however, is the proximity to the beach. The tide was out in the early morning and late afternoon, perfect for walking. There is a easy to use fire pit in the backyard, really beautiful ambience. And the locations is fantastic. It feels very private and yet you are close to everything. I hope to return again soon! Thank you!

The best birthday weekend!
Truly the most magical birthday getaway. This is the best VRBO we have ever stayed in and we loved every minute of our stay. Andy was communicative and so helpful from check in and beyond. We loved our beach walks, morning coffee and cooking in the beautiful kitchen. We can't wait to return!
