All in all this place was AMAZING! We had a great stay. I'll start with a short list of PROS and CONS:
PROS: Host is amazing very knowledgable about the area, Quiet Area, Quiet house (no disrupting others), Layout, Views, Space and comfort, Clean, Spacious kitchen
CONS: No WiFi, Spotty Cell service, slight mineral/sulfur odor to the water, low stock on pantry staples
My family of four and my parents shared this house while we were in Cody over the 4th of July. We were immediately greeted by the host and given a tour of the house with a little history of the house and the property. The house was fantastic and the host was incredibly nice. He gave us lots of pointers and suggestions for things to do and see in the area. He was also great about helping us when we had any issues or questions, and checked in with us if he saw us sitting outside to make sure everything was going okay.
The house itself is very quiet so we weren't disturbing each other if we were on different schedules. The kitchen is spacious and stocked with the basic tools for cooking (pots, pans, spatulas, etc), however, we did find that pantry staples (oil, flour, seasonings, etc) were a little lacking. We were so busy during our days that we didn't end up cooking very often so this didn't have a huge impact on our stay but it if you plan on cooking at the house a lot it's something to keep in mind. The layout is nice. The sitting area is comfy. The dining room has great view. The bedrooms were all comfortable and lots of extra pillows and blankets were available if we needed them. We were worried that it might get too hot without A/C but the temperatures in the house were consistently cool so that was never an issue. One thing that did take some adjusting was the water. There was a slight mineral/sulfur smell to the tap water. Different members of our group noticed it to different extents. It was prominent enough that we felt more comfortable drinking bottled water which we had plenty of for all of our adventuring anyway. But it wasn't so strong as to ruin taking showers, doing dishes, washing hands, or brushing teeth.
There was no WiFi and cell service was spotty at times. That was exactly what we wanted for this trip so it was great for us but if it's a must for you this isn't your place.
We're already talking about visiting the Cody area again and this will likely be the first place we check for availability when we go. It was a fantastic stay!
