I live in North Idaho, so I know a bit about the area and the offerings. This stay was for a min-sabbatical and it was a godsend.
The little cottage is clean and warm, with a Nest thermostat at your command. It's quiet, well-stocked with cooking tools, oils, coffee and more. There is off-street parking in back which I suggest you back into if you drive a big truck like mine. It's so nice to be off the street that it's worth the neck-craning.
Across from the legendary Sander's Beach (small Sander's to be precise), it's a one minute walk to the lake where I enjoyed early morning a late night cold soaks of 5:00. Just a few block North is the equally legendary Tubbs Hill, which one can make an easy hike along the stunning views of the loop trail or into a semi-challenging summit if you choose to kit-up with a plate-carrier and/or backpack.
The restaurants and shops of Sherman Avenue are a 10:00 walk away. Sweet Lou's was good, Hudson's Hamburgers was better, though not health food. ;>
Returning the the cottage after these outings was everything I needed from the stay: silence (aside from occasional dog barks), comfortable furniture, including the bed and bedding and a well-outfitted kitchen from a good dinner.
In check-out, the hosts simply ask you run the dishwasher and they promise to take care of the rest.
I wholly recommend this place.
