The hotel is saved by the helpfulness of the staff but appears to run by someone who has never stayed in a business hotel, let alone managed one. On arrival you are given an A4 sheet of paper with information on it. You need this as there is no folder in the room explaining anything. Not in your room is a room service menu. You have to go to reception or the bar to get one. Come on guys, get more printed and put them in bedrooms. Not in your room is instructions on how to use the thermostat. You will need this if you need to be moved to another room because the TV doesn't work in the first one and has also been left with sticky drink stains on the desk. And if the new room is freezing cold because the heating is off.
If you need any help from hotel staff you will also need your A4 sheet as this is where you will find out that the telephones in the hotel bedrooms don't work so you have to use your mobile to phone reception.
You've probably spent so much time actually getting a clean room with a tv that works and with the heating on that you have missed your opportunity to go for a swim. You might not feel like one when you are standing in reception for for umpteenth time and see a succession of freezing cold, damp guests running in at the entrance and through the lobby because there is no internal connection between the hotel and the pool. 8.80 for a glass of red wine. Don't go for the cooked breakfast. Horrible, Continental amazingly good. Bathroom a highlight,
