My wife and I loved this place. The view of the mountains and valley from the back deck is stunning. We had a great time watching sunsets from the deck, watching birds and insects in the meadows, and admiring the beautiful wildflowers. The property is secluded, private, and quiet, which is a nice change from apartment living. We explored the nearby waterfalls and lakes, grilled on the back deck, had a campfire, watched the Perseid meteor shower, and enjoyed pizza and bowling at the Strike Zone. The house is really lovely, with a unique hexagonal vaulted ceiling and an entire wall of floor to ceiling windows so you can take in the view even indoors. It's bigger than it looks from the outside, and it was nice having this size of place to ourselves for such a reasonable price. The owners had prepared a nice guide to local food and activities (and were very helpful when we arrived and had trouble finding the lockbox code). One restaurant tip: if you want to have dinner at the highly-rated Rainbow Grille & Tavern in nearby Pittsburgh, be sure to make reservations a day or two in advance. All in all, we'd definitely recommend this place for a nice quiet getaway for nature lovers.
