Excellence on the edge

Located on the edge of the ridge and surrounded by the natural foliage of the hill country, this tucked away cabin is exceptional. The tranquility one feels upon arrival makes the road time required to visit it worth every minute. The accommodations, the cleanliness and character of the cabin exceeds its’ pictorial presentation. This venue is a “keeper” and a location we will definitely return to many times in the future

Wonderful cabin! Views of sunrise from the bedrooms! Lots of birds to watch. Beautifully decorated cabin and grounds. The hosts were great! Very safe cabin for solo travelers!

Wonderful stay

We loved staying at La Casita. It was beautiful there and our family had an amazing, relaxing weekend. The views were gorgeous and we loved all the little details and decor in the house. It was exceptionally clean and had such a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. We would definitely love to stay here again.

Charming La Casita

La Casita lived up to its earlier great reviews. Beautiful setting, with amazing views of Hill Country and many bird species putting on a show at the feeders! The cabin was rustic and charming, and well cared for by its kind owners. We look forward to visiting again!

Cozy romantic getaway

This well appointed cabin is both comfortable and beautiful on the inside and out. From the luscious potted plants that greet you on the elevated walkway, to the antique stove that had seen generations of lovingly prepared meals, to the comfy bed and linens, this cabin has everything you need. Although this cabin could be child friendly for a summer getaway to the Frio river, we enjoyed the quiet evenings on the perched porch. The birdwatching was exceptional. I imagine that this cabin would be a wonderful getaway any month of the year. It has air conditioning, but also a real wood burning stove! You can tell that this cabin was built with love by the owners, and it is decorated with sentimental pieces of the family’s history. My recommendation is to bring plenty of food to cook at the cabin and maximize your time there. The drive from Austin is gorgeous if you avoid San Antonio traffic. Best to bring folding chairs if you decide to head to one of the state parks. The owners are politely accessible. They live next door in this slice of Heaven on Earth. There is a television, but we never even turned it on. The view was too magnificent to look away from. We can’t wait to return. Bill and Amelia

Relaxing at La Casita

We ended our summer with a trip to the Frio and stayed at La Casita. This is our second visit to this cabin that has everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The breathtaking views are are great way to start and end the day.

SPECTACULAR

This place is ADORABLE! We had the most amazing trip to the river with our family. It was so magical. The view is breathtaking and the river is as well. The owners are also the sweetest people ever! We loved everything about our stay and plan to definitely come back. Also even though we were in the middle of a drought there were still a ton of different places on the river to go swim!
