"We had an enjoyable stay at the cabin. I grew up in the atea and am very familiar with the location, so although I had never been back by this group of cabins before, I knew the general location would be wonderful to stay in. "We had such a peaceful, relaxing stay! Being surrounded by nature and having the comfort of the cabin was exactly what we needed. The property was beautiful, as was the cabin itself. It was clean, tastefully decorated, and well-stocked. Check-in was easy and Erika was responsive to communications when I had a couple little questions. The outdoor picnic table and Adirondack chairs were great, and we loved the boardwalk and quiet beach. So glad this stay was dog-friendly! Would stay again."

"Had a great time at this cabin with our three boys. They loved the kayaks and caught lots of little fish. Super private and serene little spot and close to lots to do (Pictured Rocks, Kitch-iti-kipi, Lake Michigan/Superior). The lake is very muddy and weedy though, so not good for swimming. Plan on getting groceries well before you arrive, there are only smaller markets nearby. GPS may tell you to turn on dirt roads - don't do it! Those are for ATVs only. "The Hormets Nest worked out perfect for our group. It was clean and spacious and the host went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. He even sent us some trail maps for our atv excursions. The upstairs worked out well for 6 of our group and the downstairs had plenty of room for the rest of us with the 3 additional bedrooms.
