A wonderful base to explore base to explore the Dordogne
The property was perfect for our family holiday. There was plenty to see and do within a short drive and the pool and outdoor space provided the ideal place to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather. Sarah and Nick are fantastic hosts and gave us lots of useful recommendations during our stay. They are on hand if needed but the house still feels very private. The house is very well equipped and 5 minutes walk from a lovely village. The restaurant is a must visit.

We really enjoyed our stay at Gite Peyre St Front. Sarah and Nic were great hosts. Friendly, responsive and very helpful. The house and grounds were beautiful, as described and probably the best equipped French property I have ever stayed in. The village is beautiful and the area quiet and unspoilt

Sarah and Nick were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The gite is charming and it feels like a home away from home. Its well stocked and full of little thoughtful touches. the outdoor space is incredible we spent most of our time in the garden playing in the pool and sitting by the river. The outdoor kitchen is a god send and makes it easy to live outside. We miss our morning walks for the bread and coffee at the sports spa. Theres a lot to visit nearby we’d recommend a night in Perigeaux and a visit to Jean St de Cole. Thiviers is the nearest town great food at Le Goch. A perfect family holiday.

Lovely 12 nights in Corgnac Sur L'isle
We had a fantastic 12 nights at this gite in the village of Corgnac Sur L'isle. Nick and Sarah are fantastic hosts that live on-site and are incredibly helpful. We traveled with 2 young children and struggled using our baby monitor with the thick walls of the gite. They provided a camera to help us keep an eye on the kids while we enjoyed the amazing garden in the evenings. The village is small but incredibly friendly and picturesque. It's near the town of Thiviers and we'd thoroughly recommend their Saturday market. If anything, the photos perhaps don't do the gite justice. We got to have exclusive use of the 4-acre garden, pool and amazing outdoor kitchen. It's a lovely and relaxing part of France, and we'd definitely come again.

Fabulous house and garden in a perfect spot to unwind.
Great host are just next door if needed but invade on your privacy. House is gorgeous with a huge garden area. Loved the frogs !

Great stay
The house has a lovely rustic home from home feel.Maintained in a sympathetic old style French way.The house is easily big enough to accommodate 6 people with fully fitted out functional kitchen,large lounge with comfortable seating for maybe 10 guests.we found the beds too were very comfortable for all. The outside space to the rear is a fantastic huge area with fully functional covered kitchen and proper BBQ kit/facility There is a good table and seating area for outside meals with very large quality umbrella if required. The separate pool and area again was fantastic.Good quality comfortable sun loungers with again quality umbrellas The pool itself was a really good size,clean and refreshing. The garden then extends a long way down to a small river but creates a massive space for family games. Overall a very nice relaxing stay ,lovely accommodation,great rear outside area with pool that made it for us. My only request would have been to have some garden game accessories to play with on the large lawned garden area,ie football,base ball bats,cricket set etc. We would (4 adults) definitely recommend a stay

Agréable séjour dans cette propriété où nous avons beaucoup apprécié la piscine et la cuisine extérieure. Seul bémol : il faut contourner la propriété pour accéder au jardin et à la piscine qui se situent à l’arrière (il n’y a pas d’accès direct)

A wonderful week at Le Gite Peyre St Front....
Wonderful welcome from Sarah on arrival, absolutely fabulous gite, generous welcome pack, gorgeous internal decor, well equipped outside kitchen and pool area. Both Sarah and Nic were extremely friendly and generous hosts, with fantastic knowledge of the area and great suggestions of things to do in all weathers. We will definitely return and cannot recommend highly enough.

A home from home
We had a very enjoyable stay at Sarah & Nic’s, who were super attentive and helpful in facilitating our stay. The gite was lovely and cool despite the very warm weather, and the pool was perfect for a cooling dip. The village is only a short walk away, and now we’re home, we’re very much missing our morning stroll for coffee ans croissants! What a beautiful part of the world - we’ll be back!

we had a great stay
the owners of this house were very responsive to our emails and gave us full instructions well in advance. The house was really clean and in a good working order. Our favourite part was the garden and the outside kitchen - we spent most of the time outdoors sitting / cooking outdoors. The pool is clean and our children enjoyed splashing around.

Très bien quand il fait beau !
Temps très incertain cette maison est faite pour vivre à l’extérieur et profiter Pleinement de la cuisine d’été du jardin et de la piscine, sinon l’intérieur est sombre et plutôt froid. Matelas très mous attention si vous êtes fragile du dos. Très bon accueil de la propriétaire qui fait l’effort de parler français et superbe panier garni à l’arrivée.

Excellent séjour
Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans la charmante maison de Sarah. Le jardin est splendide et très bien entretenu, la piscine propre, agréable et sécurisée pour les enfants. Il y a une cuisine d’extérieur avec table et appentis pour protéger du soleil. Nous y avons mangé matin et soir. Tout est bien équipé et nous avons particulièrement apprécié le barbecue en pierre. La maison est très bien équipée également et rénovée il y a peu avec une décoration charmante. Le village est accessible à pieds en traversant une petite rivière. C’est un super endroit pour profiter de la région. Enfin Sarah et Nick sont très gentils et disponibles. Nous sommes une famille de 4, avec deux enfants 4-8 ans. Je recommande cette location de vacances.

Belle maison de campagne à 5 minutes à pieds du village
A 5 minutes à pieds du village et 3 minutes à pieds des terrains de pétanque, la maison offre une belle piscine avec de nombreux transats et des parasols. L'espace "salon de jardin" sous un grand parasol avec vue sur l'immense jardin bien entretenu en contrebas est très agréable mais le mieux, c'est la cuisine d'été avec frigo, lave-vaisselle et plaques pour pouvoir prendre tous les repas à l'extérieur sans faire d'aller-retour dans la maison. La cuisine intérieure est bien équipée avec grand frigo, lave-linge, lave-vaisselle, grande cuisinière et grand four neufs. Machine à café capsules. Super accueil avec un panier garni. Un bon restaurant à Corgnac et de nombreuses activités dans la zone. Bonnes recommandations des propriétaires qui habitent à côté en cas de besoin. Tout est réuni pour passer de bonnes vacances ! Excellent séjour!

We had a lovely week here - 2 adults and 8 and 6 yr old girls. Excellent communication from Sarah. House, garden and outdoor pool were lovely, with a river flowing at the bottom of the garden. Village was just minutes walk away with plenty to see and do in the surrounding area (car essential). This was our third time to this area and we will be back again!

The Perfect Gite!
My family of six adults had a brilliant time and Sarah and Nic were so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The gite had the perfect accommodation for us and we loved the pool, garden and field which we used for playing French cricket. It was so lovely to have the outside kitchen and eat every meal in the fresh air. We loved the velorail, visits to the evening food market at Perigeaux, Brantomes, St. Jean de Coles, Jumilhac Le Grand and Hautefort. We won't forget being there when France won the football World Cup. It was great to hear the cheering villagers when France scored and the subsequent scooter horns!! Thank you Sarah and Nic.
