Corolla's best kept secret
Dunesbury was the perfect spot to experience Corolla for the first time. Gorgeous sunrises greeted us every morning as we relaxed on our beachfront porch. The retro decor was delightful and there was more than enough room for plenty of family and friends. We will be back!

Family vacation.
We loved the old school vibe. The deck, upstairs balcony and screen porch were great outdoor spaces. Access to the beach was close and easy and having Harris Teeter close by was a bonus. The 4 bedrooms and 2 baths were just right for our family. We also enjoyed looking at books in the property about history of the Outer Banks.

Rustic Retreat
We enjoyed our beach trip. It was nice being so close to the pathway to the beach and that we could have our dog with us. It is an older rustic home that was clean and supplied with all our needs. I loved seeing the picture of the house on the wall from the 70s and wished there had been a book with the history.

The most unique home we have ever stayed in
We loved the house. It's an old property, but very comfortable. It was a lot of house for two people, but it was one of those things. Who did we want to spend a week with. Turned out to be no one. And that was just fine. I have been under a lot of stress since December and this was exactly what I needed. It take a bit to figure out the switches and thermostats, etc. But its just a cool comfortable house. I want to go back next year.

Even though the property is dated, it is clean and spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Minor issues were immediately attended to. Everyone had a wonderful time... Ceiling fan issues should probably be tended to before hot weather. Thanks for a great time

Great stay at Dunesbury
We had a great time at Dunesbury. The house was clean and right on the beach. The location was perfect and there were many hikes near by which were perfect for birders!

So comfortable and close to the beach
This property is rustic OBX and oh so charming. You are as close to the beach as possible and the home is so comfortable. The top floor balcony is particularly lovely. We will be back!

The visit
The property was good, however, there were several problems. The bathtubs were dangerous. They were so slippery that they were fall hazards. The stairway to the second floor had poor handrails and I got three splinters trying to get up and down. The front windows in the living room were so dirty that we had to buy Windex and clean them ourselves. We found that unacceptable.

Location was perfect! Had a great time. Saw a huge buck and lots of bunnies. House was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed! This private beach is super dog friendly too!!! Loved it

Cute house
The house was cute and the proximity to the beach was perfect. I rated a 4 on cleanliness just because it was a bit dusty, but bathrooms, linens, etc were all clean. We also called village realty with a question. The phone was answered promptly and our question was resolved well. There was an outdoor shower and hose that were helpful to have. The walk to the beach was as short as it could have been. It was a short sandy trail to the board walk over the sand dunes. There are some steep stairs over the dunes. I would not expect to get a beach wagon over it. Overall, we had a great stay!
