This home is in a great location- close to the ferry and walking distance to HEB. The home is clean and comfortable, including beds. On our second day there, the AC unit went out at some point.When we arrived that night, we noticed the unit was broken.I contacted the property manager who asked us to check breakers, which we did with no luck. She offered to reimburse for a hotel stay that night, which was appreciated. Finding a hotel for 6 people on a Friday with a dog was challenging, but we did find one. We were told an AC tech would be out by 10 am to fix the unit. We left the house at 930am, before AC tech was supposed arrive. I received no contact from property manager about status of unit at all until I contacted her at 2:00 Saturday asking if it was fixed. We were told the tech was en route, and it was not fixed yet.We got to the house around 430 and unit was still not fixed. Unit was finally fixed about 530 and the house still had to cool down. Property manager did tell us she would reimburse for hotel stay and one night stay at the VRBO which we deemed sufficient. We were told today our refund should arrive in a few days. Communication was my biggest challenge with this house. I feel there should have been more communication about the AC and when it would be fixed. I understand these things happen, but updates would have been appreciated. I also had to contact her about where to send said hotel receipts, when we would receive the refund.
