A Perfect Base Camp for Potter County

Chris's cabin is wonderful. It was dry and comfortable during a thunderstorm our first night. Our dog loved the backyard stream and was out there every chance he got. We were able to explore new spots in Potter County from this isolated but also convenient location. Chris had everything we could think of and then some. Good internet. The most quiet and peaceful spot we have ever had. We could drive to the end of the lane and see the Dark Sky stars without the drive to or crowds at Cherry Springs.There is already talk of a return trip.

Lovely place to stay

This is a sweet place to stay. The location was perfect. It is within 30 minutes of a number of wonderful antique and consignment shops. There was also a very enjoyable mini golf/fun zone nearby. The house was decorated very nicely. It has a nice fire pit down near the stream which we really enjoyed. The house was very comfortable to be in and actually quite spacious for it's size. Our only complaint is the cleanliness of the floors. Walking around barefoot made the bottoms of our feet dirty and there was dog hair everywhere. We couldn't use the bathroom rug because it made our feet fuzzy when we got out of the shower. It ended up in the bedsheets because of this, too. It had a very heavy smell of dog when we walked in the door. I know that a good cleaning would take care of this, so I would still recommend anyone that was interested to stay there. You will not be disappointed. We would not hesitate to stay there again, ourselves.

Great Getaway!

My husband & I just wanted to get away for the weekend and wanted to include our 9-yr old dog. We live in the country in PA about 3hrs away from this place, so it’s in a similar surrounding, but the cabin was so quaint, perfect for the 2.5 of us and we really enjoyed the peacefulness and s’mores by the fire. The creek was pretty low, but with this hot summer, it’s to be expected. There’s not much to do in Coudersport, but that was the whole point. We didn’t want a lot to do. We ate at the Laurelwood Steakhouse, Katetee’s Family Restaurant for breakfast twice and Vinny’s Bar & Grill…. All excellent experiences and food! Try this place for a great getaway! You won’t be disappointed!

Great cabin!

Perfect property for us to star gaze and enjoy the area. Great location and very comfortable with all necessary amenities. Chris was great and provided area recommendations! I would definitely recommend this property for a relaxing stay.

Peaceful and Pretty

We loved our stay. First, Chris is an exceptionally responsive host and so easy to work with. The cabin itself is so pretty and well appointed. Love, the coffee bar! Cabin was as neat as a pin and very clean. The area is so peaceful and quiet and for those who do need to connect for work, the wi-fi was exceptional. Would definitely stay again. Chris, cannot thank you enough for a wonderful stay.

A wonderful time

We were extremely pleased with our stay. The cottage is adorable and very cozy. We enjoyed sitting at the firepit relaxing and listening to nature. The kitchen and coffee bar are great and provide the necessary cooking/eating utensils. My husband and I needed some time to ourselves to relax and this cottage fit the bill.

Absolute Oasis

Took this trip to relax and enjoy our 2nd year anniversary and it was the most relaxing little secret I have ever been to. We could not have been more relaxed taking in all things nature. Their coffee bar is top tier as well as all the updates and little extras added to this place. It is perfect for 2 and exactly what we needed. We will absolutely be coming back for a little weekend getaway again!

Perfect getaway

The Streamside Cottage was clean and updated and has a lovely site next to a stream. It was quiet and close to many outdoor things to do- especially star gazing at Cherry Springs State Park. The host was very responsive and we would definitely stay at this property again.

Relaxing stay

What a charming, cozy cabin by the stream! The coffee bar was amazing! The property is fully upgraded and decorated so nicely! It was so relaxing just sitting by the water with a fire. The stars at cherry springs were beautiful!

It was a quiet stay away that i needed. Best part was just sitting by the fire and only hearing the stream. The cabin had everything we needed and was so comfortable.

Little things in life

My fiancé and I stayed here with our dog for a weekend as we LOVE Potter county and take many trips here. Cherry springs is a must see and I swear it should be a wonder of the world. First the coffee bar here is UNMATCHED. I have never stayed in a rental with a stocked coffee bar like this one. Incredible if you love coffee. The kitchen had everything we needed plus some! The house is definitely small. 2 people is a max for sure. The couch is definitely sleepable so keep that in mind. There are no closets or storage space so if you have any bags or travel with hiking gear you won’t have space for it, BUT the house is still adorable. Leave it on the floor you’ll be fine. We didn’t love the proximity to the other neighbors as when we travel to the mountains we prefer seclusion and nature, but we didn’t see a soul so it was absolutely fine. I’m sure you won’t either! The decor in the house is adorable and the remote controlled lighting we found on Amazon for our own home. My wife couldn’t stop raving about how adorable the space was. Our dog loved the stream and we left the window cracked to listen to it at night. It was a very modern space, also. The reviews about it needing to be updated must be old. Chris was quick to respond to us and he was an all around great host. All in all, we are definitely interested in coming back in the near future! We can almost guarantee it. Great piece of property!
