The home itself is beautiful and served our purposes perfectly as we were attending a wedding nearby. However, soon after we left, I received a text message from one of the property owners saying "you left quite a mess" which I found to be deeply inappropriate given that our stay was over. I felt as though I was being scolded by a parent. We left food as a gesture in case the next guests wanted it, took our trash outside to the larger receptacle, and weren't certain what to do with towels so we left them in the bathroom. We left some dishes and did not fully make the bed to perfection, but we also paid a $70 cleaning fee, so I'm not sure what the issue even is. I'm not sure what the property owner's standards are, but this "mess" was WELL within the limits of what we've left in every AirBnB/similar service I've ever stayed in, and I have NEVER received a complaint. We really loved the space, especially the beautiful land and coffee on the porch in the morning, but I'd suggest that the owner provide a list of rules or expectations for the next guest(s).
