Ask for improvements before booking.
This is a relatively new build, that is very spacious, but still feels a bit unfinished. Pluses: Lots of space. Updated appliances. Steam room and hot tub. Gorgeous views. Minuses: The parking area and walk to the door was a giant mud pool: very difficult with kids. The water from the tap has softener in it and gave us stomach issues. The water from the fridge smells. Bring bottled water to drink unless the owners tell you that something has been fixed. The fireplace was not working. We were told literally less than 24h before check-in, and as we were already on our way to Crested Butte. Negotiating about that with the property manager felt like being bullied. It required arbitration from VRBO and made our check-in immensely stressful. There weren't enough comforters and blankets for all advertised beds nor enough hot tub towels for all guests. Max occupancy numbers need to be lowered, or more blankets and towels should be provided. A dust pan would have been nice as well.

4couples. All seniors. House was great. The steps leading from the parking area needs a hand rail. The steps are gravel and not a convenient distant apart. The gravel does not give adequate support. No one fell but everyone felt insecure.

Loved it!
Beautiful home with stunning views. Elk and deer came by the property in the evenings, and the chipmunks amused us. There are no neighbors nearby to disturb the peace and quiet. Would definitely book this house again.

The highlands home was lovely, with spectacular views, especially from the dining and living rooms. We hosted our large family with ease and comfort for dinner and games most nights.

Mountain & Wildflower Paradise
This house was everything we could have ever wanted in a vacation home. Absolutely beautiful. So spacious. The only problem is deciding where you want to hangout. The living room view is spectacular. The dining room view is simply splendid & the view from the master is beautiful as well. Mage deck is really nice & very spacious. The view can’t be beat. Pure perfection. The hot tub was so nice to relax in & look at the stars. We rented this place for our family who all came for my sons wedding. We were able to all stay together & everyone had the best time! Crested Butte is a hidden gem & this house is the place to experience it.

We had family members from various places throughout the US. It was a very enjoyable stay. Great location and views. Would recommend this location to anyone who’s looking visit the Gunnison/Crested Butte area. Thanks again to the staff for making this stay a success.

Rendezvous in Crested Butte South
This is a beautiful property. We enjoyed the views, comfortable beds, apres ski in the hot tub, and cooking meals in the spacious and well appointed kitchen. The property manager was attentive and accommodating. Great spot for our getaway with long time friends!

Mountain getaway with a great snowy view
I had a great stay at this property. I had a group of friends come up for my 40th and the house was perfect for the group. The kitchen was well equipped, the hot tub was hot, and the Sonos sound system was a nice bonus. This is a great place to stay when you have a lot of friends as there are over 10 individual beds so everyone can have their own bed. In the winter, the road is quite steep in spots, so 4wd and good tires are highly recommended.

Excellent for Families & Friends
Excellent house with beautiful views and room to spread out. Secluded from other properties makes for a great experience. Several families stayed in February for a ski trip to Crested Butte. The play room was great for the kids and the bedrooms were comfortable for the adults. Will want AWD/4WD and/or winter tires in winter to get through the neighborhood to house. reasonable check out procedures. There were a few things that kept this from being a 5 star property. 1. Slow communication. On our check in day we asked if an early check in was possible. We never received a response during the duration of our stay. Even if the answer had been no I would expect a response from owner/manager. 2. Only a single physical key and no lock box or digital key code. With multiple families staying and only a single key we had to leave the doors unlocked or hide a key. For a short term rental I would expect either multiple keys or a keypad or lock box solution so the house can be secured. 3. No cold water in kitchen sink/non-functioning filtered water/slow water flow from fridge (needed filter replaced. The cold water at the kitchen sink didn’t work. The filtered water at the kitchen sink didn’t work. The water out of the fridge flowed VERY slowly and the panel indicated the filter needed to be changed.

Amazing property!
The pictures were great but the house was even better! Our adult children loved the hot tub and the close proximity to skiing. The terrific kitchen was huge and easy for us to all cook together. Plenty of space for all of us and such beautiful views! We'd highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful house for a vacation.

Fall Family Retreat
Beautiful home with amazing views in a stunning part of Colorado. We made great memories together. Games, hikes, a visit to downtown Crested Butte and pizza at the Secret Stash! Hot tubbed under the stars, enjoyed warm Indian Summer weather and then left just as the snow began! We will return to the valley!

Beautiful house that is even more beautiful in person. This is our second time to stay at this property and both have been excellent. Plenty of room for everyone in our group and the best outdoor deck and views that can’t be beat!

Great place to celebrate our 50th anniversary
The accommodations were perfect for seven adults and four children. The beds were comfortable, nice bed linens, and beautiful views from almost every room. Although it rained every afternoon the first four days, there was plenty of room for kids and adults. The only recommendations I would make would be to provide additional kitchen utilities including a tea kettle, more serving dishes, some plastic glasses for the kids, a new spatula, and a better can opener. Although it is a beautiful deck, there was no table for eating outside although I must say the dinning room windows made you feel almost like you were outside. Our family loves to grill and the grill either needs to be upgraded or several of the burners replaced to provide even heating. Finally, although it would be difficult due to the configuration of the deck, some type of shade device would enable the renters to enjoy the beautiful weather and scenery out of the intense sun at that altitude. All in all it is a beautiful home and location and a perfect place to celebrate our anniversary.

Amazing house!
This property is fantastic. We have 2 families of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids per family). We easily could have fit a third family. There is a ton of space and the loft upstairs is a great place for the kids to hang out. The house is in 5 star condition and was immaculately cleaned and maintained. The views are incredible. We cooked in the huge kitchen nightly. If you are more interested in very comfortable house than location, this is it. You are trading location a little bit, town is about 20 min away. That didn't bother us one bit. Plan ahead and make sure you have what you need before going all the way to the house. There are groceries in Gunnison before you hit the final stretch to CB. If you find you forgot something as you get close, you might drive right past the turn off, get what you need in CB and head back. Once you turn off the road, it is 10-12 minutes to the house. We had to go get ice the first night and I wish we had thought of that before we checked in and didn't want to leave!!

The Perfect Ski Vacation House
I came across this house after deciding our group was going to Crested Butte this year for our annual ski trip. Once I saw it I knew I had to act fast to ensure we would get such an amazing house. Well we did and this house blew our expectations out of the water. The house is huge and can accommodate any group. The views from the 15 acres surrounding the house are spectacular. Our group will definitely be back here!

Christmas is Crested Butte
Beautiful spacious home. Very clean. Responsive property manager and owner. Great views. Comfortable beds. We had quite a bit of snow and high winds so we ended staying in the house more than venturing out as planned. Definitely need a AWD or 4WD in the winter. We had no idea how high up we were going to be and my car couldn’t make it to the house. Neighborhood does plow on a regular basis but winding roads, snow, and ice requires the right vehicle. (First time for us to travel to CO from TX so we were naive). 10 of us in the house and we had plenty of room. WiFi never went out and electricity the entire time which was worrisome given the cold temps and high winds. Was a great home!

Best Ever Thanksgiving Family Reunion!
The pictures on the site do not do it justice. Our expectations were exceeded on every thing. The home was wonderful! The gathering spaces - kitchen and family room - were absolutely perfect for our family. The little ones had plenty of space to play. We could all gather for meals. The kitchen was a dream to work in. The views out the windows were spectacular. Skiing was close by. We loved exploring Crested Butte's quaint shops and galleries. It was the first time in a couple of years that our entire family was able to be together. This was the perfect place to have such a reunion! Thanks for everything!
