Communication was great from initial contact through to the welcome on arrival. Parking is up the road but only a couple of minutes walk. Highly recommended. "

"Such a peaceful spot. We had breakfast outside each morning while listening to the birds and then spotted constellations in the properly dark night sky. The cottage was well equipped with lots of quirky details, just as the name suggests and the location was perfect for us - handy for visiting family. The welcome was really warm, too. "We had a really lovely stay at the Cart Lodge in early October. The hosts kindly left us some local bread, eggs, jam and biscuits which was a lovely welcome. Everything was very clean and well looked after. The beds very comfortable and the bathroom was lovely and warm. Firewood had been provided, however we didn't need to use it. TV had lots of options. It would be nice to have an earlier check in time than 4pm, but everything with the property and hosts was fantastic. "
