Nice Labor Day Getaway
Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway with family. It was a rainy weekend so we didn’t get to enjoy the hot tub or the fire pit as we had hoped but we did spend a lot of time relaxing on the covered deck. Saw some deer a couple of times so that was nice. The location was great. Unfortunately, one of the toilets needed a new flapper but since it was a holiday weekend, we just flushed it manually by lifting the flapper so we didn’t have to bother anyone. At bedtime on the last night, the water flowed only at a dribble but since it was so late and we were leaving the next morning, we did not place a call for that either We cleaned as best we could using water we had brought but had to leave a couple of dishes unwashed. We typically never leave without cleaning thoroughly but had no choice. We reported both the toilet and the water issue when we called at departure. Even with those two issues and the rainy weather, we enjoyed our weekend getaway immensely. We highly recommend it to anyone needing a place in this area and woyld definitely stay here again. .

Great property - secluded but close to everything
I really enjoyed my stay here. The property was well maintained and manager was great! Close to great dining, supermarkets, hiking, rafting and golf while at same time in woods and anyway from any neighbors! Exactly what I was looking for in a two week mountain retreat!

Wonderful secluded cabin
This place had everything we were looking for in a mountain retreat stay. Clean and well appointed with comfortable bed, plenty of room, hot tub was excellent. The fact we could bring our dogs made it even better. Super secluded with the woods surrounding it. Check in and out was a breeze and the property management company was top notch. We definitley plan on returning.

Amazing home - A must stay!!
This home was amazing, and we did not want to leave. It was exactly as described. It was very well apointed, quiet, peaceful and the porch was our spot. Great home and highly recommend it!

Short stay
We were looking forward to a few days in the mountains, but it was cut short due to our dog having a medical emergency. We didn’t even stay overnight, just packed up everything and left 😢. That being said, what I can say is that the cabin was beautiful and well-equipped. It was very secluded and quiet. There were some water issues, but maintenance came quickly and got the water working fine. We may return again sometime as it is a great area to go and unwind from the busyness of life!

Nice, clean, private, beautiful property
Perfect place for me, my wife, our 2 small children and our 2 dogs to spread out and relax. House is clean, updated, well appointed, very private, and laid out very well inside and on the property. Doesn't have mountain or river views but the property itself is gorgeous and the back porch is a perfect spot for morning coffee and evening drinks. Hot tub is in a great spot. Close enough to Jefferson/West Jeff and our favorite part was the pleasant 30 minute drive to Grayson Highlands in VA. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, this is your spot. We would absolutely stay again.

The cabin was amazing. Everything we needed was available. The outdoor area was beautiful and tidy. Having the washer and dryer available after our river trip was so convenient. Definitely would stay again and will recommend to friends.

Great, quiet getaway
Great little cabin that’s very private and quiet! Was clean, cute, and had everything we needed. Only thing would be to clarify the check out time as it’s listed in the book provided there as 10am and 11am, so we weren’t sure what time checkout really was. The book also didn’t have the wi fi network listed (only the password), but minor things that didn’t affect the stay too much. We’d stay again!

Relaxing quiet location. Clean and organized . Has everything you need. A bit far from most hikes but close enough to west Jeff to get out for supplies or dinner. Would be nice to be able to access new River but all nearby land is posted.

The place is located in a fairly remote spot amongst mountain farm land but only 15-20 mins to town. Steep gravel driveway - wasn't an issue for us. Easy check in/access. Very clean house. Kitchen well stocked with things needed to cook at home. Open concept living room/kitchen with nice large porch and fireplace/sitting areas in the yard. Yard well manicured. Beds are both king and comfy. A/C works great and fans on the porch. We enjoyed our short stay!

Very nice and private. Great getaway for a few days. Great locale to Jefferson, grocery store and restaurants. Enjoyed eating at Shatley Springs. Only thing I would recommend to other travelers would be to bring your own bed sheets and pillows.

Beautiful mountain home
We really enjoyed our time here! Perfect weekend getaway to hike and explore West Jefferson. The home was beautiful and extremely clean. The property was beautiful, the only thing I would recommend is to mow the yard for guests. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Getaway!
We had a great experience! The property is exactly as described in the listing - extremely private and serene. We especially enjoyed the outdoor spaces and the fireplace. It was the perfect place to unwind after spending the day out on the trails.
