"A lovely large, clean, comfortable, well equipped property in a quiet location in southern Scotland. Host Nigel was very responsive and pointed us to some great walks close by. "The house was an ideal setting to see in the new year. The area has lots of interesting walks and cycling routes. The hosts provided plenty communication ahead of the booking and accomodated for our youngest guest (1 year old). The property could benefit from a few more kitchen essentials (bin bags, dish clothes etc), but this a wasn't major issue. All in all, a really nice stay."

"We brought our three married children,their partners and our five grandchildren to Albion House to spend Christmas together. Albion House was perfect for us. Warm,very well equipped, comfortable beds,travel cot and trouble taken to decorate a Christmas tree and decorate the rooms. Extra praise for the way a forgotten wallet was promptly detached. We can recommend Albion House without reservation."

"The bedrooms were a generous size. With a large sitting room, spacious kitchen/diner, a separate dining room, and a second smaller sitting room with piano, there are plenty of options for getting together with your house guests. We were lucky with the weather, and ate breakfast on the patio and a barbecue in the garden. A memorable stay."

However, the outside is just as important as the inside from a customer experience point of view and the garden and hedges were in desperate need of cutting and pruning and the gravel drive was quite slippy and dirty from moss and weeds.
