Our family (6 adults + 3 dogs) had a great time at this lovely Stone Lake retreat. The weather was unseasonably hot, but the cottage is well shaded and it stayed cool and pleasant. The cottage was clean, beds were comfortable, we had everything we needed for cooking, we enjoyed the use of the watercraft, and we saw lots of wildlife in this remote spot - loons, swans, eagles, turtles and deer. Everyone enjoyed the outdoors and the time together.
A few tips: 1) The ticks were plentiful this time of year (June), even though our hosts had sprayed, and our dogs seemed to pick up a lot of them. We recommend treating your pets ahead of time and checking them regularly while there.
2) Our cell service (T-Mobile) had poor coverage at Stone Lake. The end of the dock seemed to offer the strongest signal. We intended to unplug while we were away, so we really didn't mind. One member of our group had a different service and had no trouble getting a signal.
