"Valcour Cottages was the perfect escape for a lake house vacation! The house was clean, perfect view of Lake Champlain, and provided wood for fire pits at night. We were able to use the tubes we brought to swim on a calm water day (there are steep steps to the water, but also a couple close beaches) The Cottages are near some gorgeous hikes! "This house was really special and lovely, the location hard to beat. You could easily get to grocery stores and local places we've loved for years, or trot down to Burlington or Waterbury. The water was rare as it's a silt bottom (rather than rocks), and very shallow. Great for little kids, or if you want to walk far out and watch the sunset. The kayaks were wonderful to use to go along the coast on calm mornings. So grateful we were able to make more memories here!"

It was the perfect relaxed vacation to celebrate my husband’s retirement and for me to recharge and be ready to go back to school and teach for another year.The cottage was just the right size for the 2 us and had everything we needed including laundry facilities and a cute little dishwasher to minimize chores. "love the type of cabin. It was really cozy. They thought of all our needs, wine, cheese tray, toothbrushes, etc. Many beds for us to sleep comfortably. The bad thing is that there were spiders and flies inside the house, but didn't bother us much. We would love to stay there again, it will be on our Adirondack's list of great places to stay, it was also very affordable."
