We especially like this house because it has a bayside beach area which is an advantage if you happen to come on a week when the Gulf side is inundated with seaweed. The first time we stayed there was problems with deck lighting and plumbing (I repaired the plumbing myself at that time) The lighting we were told had been given a work order for repair, but we never saw anyone.
This is the second time we stayed and there was a new refrigerator (an improvement), less kitchen utensils, our shell in table was gone :{ , and the light problem was still present years later :{. We requested help, got notice that a work order had been turned in, same result, saw no one, no repair accomplished. Mosquitos were awful compared to our first time which was on April 1st week that year, this year we were there in Mid May, weather much better, it was a very cold, windy, rainy week when we were there the first time. Pillow cases or pillows actually smelled like an armpit and house is for sale at this time. (it was a newly aquired property the 1st time we stayed here) .
With all that negativity, we would still recommend this house, it is very nice, maybe bring your own pillows and a good camp light to light the deck enough to see if you want to use the new grill they had available. We have stayed in Fort Morgan area and Dauphin Island many years and still think this is one of the better locations. One more comment, there is only one street in/out and it floods, pray for no rain. (Corvette owner)
