Perfect location
Great view of the bay and a short walk to the gulf side. The place was clean and comfortable. Only complaint was the mattresses. Like other reviews have said they are pretty bad. I’d at least recommend a mattress topper if nothing else.

Perfect getaway.
Midway to West end beach or East end boat ramp/ferry. We like the private beach area facing the bay view. House is nicely furnished with the comfort of home. Will highly recommend to others.

Overall great house! Did have issues with the air and fridge but reached out to management and someone was sent but unfortunately things were not fixed before we left. There was also a glass coffee table in the living room which isn’t ideal for little kids but even with that I would gladly stay at this property again!

Great house and location
This beautiful house was in the perfect location right on the bay, with a little beach area right out the back door. And only a short walk to the Gulf. Although we didn't even go to the gulf side the whole week we were there. The beach area behind the house was perfect for the grandkids. No big waves...no seaweed and not deep until you walked way out. The area was perfect also. Not crowded...and we were there Memorial Weekend. The only traffic you have to worry about is the occasional slow golf cart. The restaurants were amazing. This was our first time coming here. And definitely my new spot.

Quiet with incredible view
I usually stay on the Gulf side of Dauphin Island. This is my first rental on the bay side and I was pleasantly pleased with the view and peaceful calming location. Keyless entry was very difficult to use when entering the front door.... My hands are large and could barely push the complex number sequence without pressing more then one button at a time. I would go here again for sure.

Delighted but Disappointed Rente
The house is at a great location and Dauphin Island is beautiful with friendly locals. But this house is very worn and not kept clean. Very few appliances were available and dishes looked as if they were saved from a thrift store.

Perfect Quiet Getaway
This property was in the perfect location with a million dollar view of the bay and the house was a short walk to the gulf side beach access at the other end of the road. The property itself was great. We found the beds and furniture to be very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked and had everything we needed to cook and eat in each night. There were a couple of minor issues during our trip, but nothing that made any negative impact on our trip: First, when we arrived the floors were very dirty. It wasn't something that was noticable at first, but within about 10 minutes of my youngest son walking around in the house, the bottom of his feet were black from the dirt/grime. The property management company did ask if we had any concerns that they could address, but we had already mopped the floors and remedied the issue so we didn't request them to come clean the floors. Second, on the beach/sand area directly in front of the house on the bayside, there were tons of pieces of broken glass of various sizes. In one trip down there, I found over a dozen sharp pieces of glass. This is obviously not something that the property owner or management company can address, but wanted to include this so future guests can watch for glass while down there. Third, the majority of the deck furniture shown in the pictures was not on the deck. The only thing we had was the picnic table/benches and a white plastic chair. Their pictures need to be updated to reflect this.

Review
We stayed there before but some things changed. They removed the swing from the deck. The floor was not clean enough. Nails on the deck were sticking out and some deck boards were cracked, very dangerous.

Ok stay.
House is clean, but seriously in need of some upkeep. None of the lower outside lights work. Most of the blinds are damaged. The beds are terrible, like they came out of your great-grandma's house 35 years ago. TV in the main room has a line going through the screen like it is about to go out. The kitchen is MINIMALLY stocked (well, there is a fondu set, but no sharp knives, and for being on the gulf you would think there would be a stock pot...) The bathtub doesn't drain right. If you stay more than 2-3 days you will have to bring laundry detergent since the bare minimum of towels are provided. T.P., paper towels, trash bags, and dishwasher detergent will also be needed. Also, the pictures show a hammock, there was not one on the property when we were there. If it is cool weather when you go, bring some extra blankets. Outer boards on the deck are weathered to the point that some are dangerous to walk on. Could be a nice place with some basic upkeep.

Cute and cozy
We stayed for 4 days/3 nights - super cute, very cozy, perfect location.. steps to the water and small bay-side beach, quiet, and clean. We plan to come back and stay here with our kiddos soon. One down fall- beds are not comfortable AT ALL. Otherwise, we loved it!

Didn’t feel clean, beds were EXTREMELY uncomfortable, told we had cars parked and instructed to move and proceeded to be asked if we had more people. We weren’t even at the house for the night or had any additional people over when we got this accusatory text by management. Good location but very disappointed with our stay.

Great view/needs a couple updates
This place has a great open floor plan and a great view with a small beach on the bay side. Big deck out the back with a picnic table to hang out. The beds are all super soft and cushy. We have more firm mattress preferences. The coffee table was wobbly. The fixtures in the property were super dated. Some of the amenities listed were missing. We called Vacasa and although they said they would be dropped of they never arrived during our stay. The property require you to start laundry before you check out yet there was no laundry detergent so we bought some in compliance.

This location is amazing! It is right on the bay side and close to the sand. The property itself needs some updating. Appliances are very old and beds pretty uncomfortable.

Nice Location for Families
I can vouch that the beds could indeed be upgraded, but the location makes up for it. A small beach on the bay side can be seen directly from the deck, and the beach at the ocean is less than a 5 minute walk. This is a perfect location for a small family. The kitchen was very well stocked and had just about anything you would need. The grill was in good shape and there was a full tank of propane. Added bonus was a programmable coffee maker Overall the property was very clean. The only minor issues were a bit of trash that was under the deck or in the dunes which we picked up. Internet was extremely slow, so if you’re planning on working it might not be a good fit. Random speed tests through our week were all in the 5mbs range or less. TVs are a bit dated, but function fine and the location had the very basic directv package. Included in the rental is parking passes for the beach, but not for the closest access point. We never really used them because we opted for just walking across the street. We would certainly stay here again though. Advice for improvement would definitely to replace the two larger beds, and maybe upgrade the internet speed and offer smart tvs. Advice for future guests would be to plan meals and always make reservations if you plan on going out. Restaurants are limited here and get busy very fast. Wait times can be well over an hour.

Great views!
The best part of the house are the wonderful views from the open kitchen/living/dining rooms and from the large porch! There are comfortable Adirondack chairs on the porch as well as a picnic table. Watching the sunset from the bayside beach, right in back of the house, was marvelous! It’s about a quick, three block walk to the beach side of the island. We throughly enjoyed staying on the bayside, though! We had a great stay at this property!

Good enough
A few little things that we noticed but didn’t in any way spoil our stay. There are no dressers in the bedrooms. We were there for 2 weeks and would have liked to have put our clothes away. Also, a million pieces of silverware, but the one night we cooked steak, we had to share a steak knife. And grill was dirty, no grill brush. There’s also a lot of crap behind the washer and dryer and under the table in the laundry room. All little things, we had a great time!

This property is in a perfect location for us. Both of the queen beds were awful. The dishwasher was very old and difficult. I will be back in this location but if the beds are not updated I can’t stay here again.

Paradise on Dauphin Island
Very easy communication with instruction from booking to exit. So relaxing and super clean for us. 3 adults and 2 grandsons. Loved the west end of Dauphin and practically one main street east and west to dine on, shop. Sights. Only problem is our coffee pot didn't work as efficiently as it should but reported this for next guests. Could use some new or repaired vertical blinds. Other that we were delighted with our stay. Going to book bigger house next year
