"Lovely, peaceful stay for a special occasion or just a getaway for a night! The Shiraz Homestead was so spacious, loved the big bedrooms, one with a four poster king-sized bed which was lovely & comfortable. The deck was perfect for an afternoon wine and morning coffee/ breakfast that is supplied at the cottage. Great spa bath to relax. Thank you for a beautiful stay and the complimentary bottle of delicious wine. "

"Property is right in the heart of Hahndorf. We were given an upstairs apartment. Not the best if you have large suitcases. The stairway is inside the apartments. Lovely shower although our showerhead needed a good clean and descale. Otherwise all good. Have stayed before and would stay again in a downstairs apartment."

"Host was very accommodating however the property description doesn't match reality. Cooking was via a shared barbecue, washing up needed to be done in the bathroom vanity and the restaurant was closed. Most meals required a 20 minute drive to Nairne...or slightly further to Mt Barker. It would be OK for an overnight stay or weekend if you wanted to travel around the Adelaide Hills. Longer stays are very difficult."

"Incredibly relaxing stay! Bed was very comfortable (great for my bad back) fireplace in the Lounge Room with lovely outdoor bath was fantastic. I simply loved having a sauna inside the bathroom. When we arrived, we saw our little welcome pack with breakfast provisions for the first day and feed so we could feed the cows, goats and alpacas on the property. "

"We chose a cold and rainy couple of days to visit but still had a lovely time. Cosy and comfy, we had everything we needed except phone reception but we understand this is a stay to ‘switch off.’ The bed was comfy, the bath generous, and we left very immersed in nature. "

"Overall impression was pretty good. Bed is comfortable, but no bedside tables. Great water pressure in the shower but water escapes the shower very easily. Recommend bringing an extra towel to clean up water on the floor. The canara and blankets are a great touch. I really wish there was curtains or blinds on the windows (there is a shade blind on the bedroom window). One morning, there were people where in the yard when I was showering. "We had a wonderful time in Chris and Tracy's beautiful little cabin. It has all the modcons and excellent views of their amazing property. The alpacas and sheep are incredible.
