Beautiful Area
It was a beautiful area to stay. They even placed a small Christmas tree up for our stay over the holidays. We had a couple of dogs and the area was perfect for them to run and for us to walk around. My only negative was that the kitchen could have been supplied with a few more utensils (spoons, spatula, etc ..). We loved having two coffee makers!

Perfect setting
There were 4 adults and 2 dogs and this place did not disappoint! Beautiful property! The dogs loved being able to run and swim. We fished in the pond and relaxed on the giant porch with amazing views!

Great place!
It was such a great place. There was a lot of things to do on the property (play basketball, cornhole, fishing, swimming, ect). The only thing I would say is bring bug spray! Mosquitoes are bad! Everything else was great. We loved spending time on the deck.

Wanna chill?
Chill is an understatement. This place is absolutely gorgeous! Perfect location, beautiful house/property and wonderful views. We would have liked to enjoy the outside more, but a rare spring blizzard blew in late on day 2. Freezing cold, snowy and windy on the outside, but so warm and cozy on the inside. Made the blizzard almost as if it wasn't there. This is the perfect place to chill. Fully stocked, plenty of room and close to town.

Fabulous place for family fun
We stay here when we come to the Black hills for a family reunion. Second time we have stayed on this property. Great fishing for kids on the pond out back. Beautiful lawn yard area to play in on. Well stocked kitchen. We love coming to visit wish we could spend more time on the property but most of the time we are at a family lake cabin.

Loved our experience
We used this property as a base of operations for a weeklong hunting trip this Fall. It checked every box for us. It was spacious with 5 separate sleeping rooms (the basement is technically its own bedroom suite) and plenty of beds. The house was clean and in great condition. We enjoyed the property, it has scenery, space, and privacy. Doug was awesome to work with and contact with. We are hoping to stay with him again next year.

Heart of Spearfish
Serene views at a well designed home! Our group thoroughly enjoyed this property! From the porch we enjoyed the beautiful views of the area and the wildlife. We enjoyed fishing at the pond and also fishing in Spearfish Canyon. This property was convenient to Deadwood, Roughlock falls, Devils Tower and hiking in Spearfish Canyon. We also enjoyed the wonderful dining recommendations of the property owner. We enjoyed the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets on the porch; it was so relaxing! We would love to stay here again!

Quiet and Private
My wife, adult children, and I had a great stay here! The house is set up in a way that provides comfortable spaces to be together, but is spacious enough to allow quiet time apart. Its location gives easy access to Spearfish and any of the attractions in the Hills/Badlands and is at the end of a private road for lots of peace and quiet at the end of the day. The host we met, Doug, was very gracious and the house is well appointed - we wanted for nothing during our stay. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful property!
Very scenic and nice layout. My boys loved the fishing and my wife and I enjoyed the serenity. Lots of small details in house (games, puzzles, etc) that were a nice touch. Would highly recommend.

Secluded and perfect
We had a fabulous time! Deck was perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails! We spent a ton of time on the kayaks and canoe, and my father spent hours bird watching. The house is really in the perfect spot for a relaxing get away. And Doug was great to work with!
