It rained the entire time of our stay and there were a few leaks in the Yurt fabric. Enough so that all of our belongings that had been sitting on the floor were soaking wet the next day and sitting in a puddle of standing water.
The exterior shower had no accessible water.
The yurt comes stocked with all sorts of usable items but not a single working battery. BYOB
Inside of the yurt the floor was pretty dirty. Having a broom on site would’ve helped a lot and I would’ve swept out all of the leaves and other debris before and after our stay.
The propane heater did work surprisingly well and kept the interior fairly toasty.
The yurt was described as 2 miles from Red Rocks. It’s actually almost 3 and is a lot of climbing/descending slick rocks. Be warned, this isn’t an easy hike at night or in the rain and you definitely need a headlamp.
Make sure to touch base with the property owner regarding a gate access code before your visit. I didn’t realize that we even needed one and had the hardest time finding that information. The owner was responsive to a text asking about the code but took like 1.5 hours to reply.
