Bathroom was dirty, hot tub had sand and other debris in the bottom. Beds were squeaky and driveway was a steep gravel path. View was nice and the location is hard to beat. Just expected better quality guven the excessive cleaning and transaction fees associated with this property.

Short getaway

I would like to file a complaint about this property. We messaged on Sunday night that we were having issues with the fireplace not lighting. The pilot light was on but we could not get the fireplace to kick on. There are three heating sources on the main floor of this property, only one of which worked. The heater in the bathroom would not come on as well. Never did hear back after we were told they were contacting the local person on Sunday night. The shower curtain liner was for a stand up shower, not a tub shower therefore it did not cover the entire opening of the shower. And my husband found a nail head sticking up out of the trim next to the hot tub. This was discovered painfully with his foot. The nail head is in a darker knot of the wood so not easily noticeable until you step on it. I am pretty sure that the electric box is not up to code as it is within a cabinet. The ceiling trim in the bedroom on the main floor is also coming down in at least one place. Also, if there is roof access to the building across the street from the Channel House, then anyone could see from the reflection of the mirror in the living room, what was happening on the couch.Also the drain from the kitchen sink was emitting a marijuana smell. The porch rail in combination with the overgrowth on the right side of the driveway did make parking a bit complicated.

Great get away place

Great view, adorable home, the hot tub was wonderful on a chilly evening. The beds were comfortable. My complaint would be the water pressure and the temperature in the shower. I could not turn the temperature to colder without it turning off. Just a suggestion to add a pair of binoculars for guests to use while there. We enjoyed our stay!Will come back again for sure.

Great experience

We got in the evening of the 15th. The house was very clean and absolutely adorable. We also loved that it was dog friendly, even though we didn't get to bring our fur baby for lack of room in the vehicle we used. We also loved the fact our car was off the street and that the neighborhood seemed really safe! We stayed until the early afternoon of the 18th. My husband and I both loved everything but also both had a fall. He well while getting down to the beach one of the days, hurting himself and I fell twice in the house, one of the times it was because my eyes were messing with me and I didnt realize the step so I fell into the table and chairs and the other one was caused my one of my health issues and I fell, hitting my face on the door knob of the cupboard. Due to those falls we were a bit slower packing up tp leave but were still out by 1128am. I tried apologizing and explaining to the housekeeper, or who I thought was our housekeeper but she was more than extremely rude. She is the only reason it was 1 star low! Other than her everything was amazing and we would choose you again! As long as we didn't have to have her again. I apologize for getting out a little late, if it weren't for the pain I was in we would have been a bit early out! I hope that same house cleaner doesn't treat everyone like that!

Was not happy at all. The code on the door kept changing everytine we left had to call to get new one. The hot tub smelled horrible and had hair floating in it. Shower and bathroom were ok stive and microwave are both broken and there some sketchy wiring hanging out of back of furnace. The house is in a good area close to newport and restraunts but definatly wouldnt book again unless it was better maintained

Do not stay here

Heat didn't work and they didn't respond in a timely manner. They ofered a partial refund which we have not seen. We were supposed to stay here two nights and left after one night when they didn't fix the heat.

Depoe Bay adventure

We had a lovely time going whale watching, shopping, and eating. Hot tub was nice as well! The only exceptions were upstairs mattress and box springs, and a nail head sticking up on the floor near the table.

Wonderful place!

This is a GREAT little beach house - and the hot tub in the front room was fantastic. Very clean and comfortable. A few issues with the gas fireplace and the shower head fixture — but nothing that hampered our stay in any way. Very close to the main drag and all the fun — Would definitely recommend!

Perfect relaxing getaway

My boyfriend and I wanted a quiet, relaxing stay and that exactly what we goth! The property is clean and cozy and the hot tub is a wonderful touch. Plus, the location is hard to beat. We’ll definitely be back!

Wonderful place to stay!

Everything here was amazing! They had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The hot tub was an extra plus that really made the trip! Super cute place with a nice quiet neighborhood. Great place to book with pets!

Terrible & overpriced. Shower was pink with mildew. Hot tub was rusty & dirty water. Cooking utensils were horrible. Pillows were flat and so broken down, I ended up sleeping on the couch....that slides apart anytime you move. This place needs some serious TLC before renting it out. Wish i could get my money back!!!

Basic little house, but ...

Driveway is very narrow. If you have a bigger vehicle it will be difficult to park. Old gas stove in living room had no instructions on how to operate. Wasn't even sure if it worked. Some may find the constantly running hot tub in living room annoying. Overall, it was OK but nothing special. With all the added on fees not sure it was worth the cost.

Interesting stay

Super cute place with a great location but it was very smelly. I reached out to vacasa and told them about the smells but nothing was done. There’s a hot tube in the living room which made the entire house have a chemical smell. The back bedroom has a moldy musty smell and there were fleas. Lots and lots of fleas. We used the recliners and there was trash in them, candy wrappers and a dirty hairbrush. The carpet was very dirty. It was definitely a let down from what we expected.

Vary lovely

Beautiful house with scenic views in a nice , quiet neighborhood. Shops close by as is a lovely sitting bench overlooking the ocean, wails where there as well. We would gladly stay here again.
