"I can’t think of a better place from which to explore the Cairngorms. This property, including our little cottage, is an historical gem. You will have to manage a few tiny comfort issues like no shower, the cushions on the living room furniture were worn to the point you are sitting in the frame, there were spiders (harmless) everywhere. "Our GPS in the rental car wasnt working properly, so finding the cottage was a bit tricky to find, but once we did, oh my! What a great little place! Right on the water, with spectacular views- sunrise on the North Sea. The owner was easy to reach by phone and email. The cottage was well-equipped with everything we needed."

"What a beautifully unique place to stay! We were in the Gamekeeper's bothy and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was clean and spacious and the wood stove kept us plenty warm! We never saw any red squirrels but I did see a beautiful jay that was so different from the blue jays we have in the US. I would stay here again in a minute!"

"Loved everything about this property. The house is beautiful and so clean. Amanda had left milk, snacks and the house has some basics to use which is great. The robes, slippers and bathroom products are lovely. Wished we'd stayed longer to enjoy everything about this house."

"We had a wonderful few days despite mixed weather. The cottage is very well equipped, cosy yet spacious with lovely bright bedrooms upstairs, the owners were kind and helpful and the location is lovely, great walks along the river and lovely open outlook. We hope to return soon!"
