"When we saw the room was disappointing. In the description it said it has heating, but the only thing it had was a little heat fan. We probably wouldn't have taken that room (or hotel) if we had known it. By the way, our bathroom had a water leak (or it seemed it), but when we arrived at night we found a cockroach in the room and we asked for to change the room. Finally, they found that a pipe was broken. One last thing, the description said "free wifi" and it's true, but only 500MB. Nowadays...

"Convenient motel on edge of Kaikoura with easy access to restaurants & walks. Motel has been recently refurshed and the room & bathroom, which had a much appreciated spa bath, were spotless. Self laundry facilities excellent. No breakfast available but rooms had small kitchenettes with microwave, hob, fridge & utensils. As with most hotels/motels it is on a busy main road, but traffic was quiet during the night & ear plugs provide!"

"Nicely equipped room. Had everything we needed. Friendly check-in. Parking directly outside the room was good for unloading and loading the car. The bed was comfy and the shower good. It was nice to be able to walk to the beach from the motel."

"Great value in a recently remodeled, very comfortable motel, about five minutes drive from town center and two block walk from the ocean. Manager extremely responsive to our every request and tips for the best restaurant (Pier Hotel) serving crayfish, a local favorite, including getting a great table with a view.
