"The apartment contained everything you could wish for. Tea & coffee plentiful and a pint of milk in the fridge on arrival. Beds were comfortable. The only downside being the windows weren't double glazed meaning it was a bit noisy at night, that said would definitely stay there again. "

The property was in a great location, the host responded very quickly to any queries, the property was very clean, homely and had everything we needed, the bed had the comfiest pillows I’ve ever came across and the host had left us milk etc for a cuppa on arrival, beautiful interior and all that was needed for our stay. "Had a lovely stay in apartment 2 for 3 nights with 2 of my sons. Absolutely beautiful accommodation - spotlessly clean and has a boutique feel about it. The apartment is lovely and bright and fresh. The beds are very comfortable and the living area is lovely annd warm and cosy. Breakfast in the Shimna cafe is a real treat and a really great perk to staying here. "The property was really spacious and clean. The hosts were helpful when we reached out. It’s also situated at the centre of the town. The townsfolk were really nice and friendly. The only downside is the local transport to belfast city centre which is quite limited and did not seem to operate on Sunday, we were actually lucky to have our own car. Other than that, if you’re looking to have a nice quiet time, this is the place to be "

"This is our third time to stay at Oatlands Cottages and it won't be our last. The houses are so clean and comfortable with everything to make the stay enjoyable. There is also so much to see and do in the area. I especially love how quiet it is at night. I would have no hesitation in recommending these cottages. We will definitely return"

"Overall was very good,only downside was being in the middle of a Protestant heavy town with no warning on this beforehand."

"Excellent accommodation. Wonderful place. The place was immaculate, so clean. The decor was excellent. I can that the host has put a lot thought into the decor of the home. Cannot fault it, comfy bed with high quality bedding. One of the best places I have stayed. It was so relaxing. I would recommend staying here if you want peace and quiet, clean accommodation and a great host. "

"This quaint little cottage off of the entrance to Tollymore Forest is perfect to just get away and mend your mental health. I will definitely be there again, perhaps yearly if I can afford it! Jo is easy to contact and is most helpful with everything. Thank you Jo, you are so loved 💚"
