"The road to and from the cottages is challenging for some. I was not fussed but my wife is scared of heights and in some parts was anxious of the sheer drop. The cottage takes you back in time as there is no electricity, hot water or mobile phone reception. I really enjoyed the seclusion and quietness but this may not be for everyone. The 'donkey' to have hot water takes me back to my childhood as it requires tender loving care and lots of patience and time. Here again, not for everyone but if...

"The property is far from town situated on a dirt road (15 km) and fairly dangerous to drive at night. We decided not to stay there and used alternative accommodation in town. This was not known to me when I made the booking, the road condition must be detailed on the website... "

"Schöne Unterkunft in einer ruhigen Gegend. Die Umgebung ist was besonders. Wild West Charme. Wir hatten eine sehr klare Nacht zum Sternebeobachten, wir haben mindestens 50 Sternschnuppen gezählt."

"This property offered so much more than what was listed online. The house is spacious and comfortable. The host could not have done more for us. Great hospitality. Sitting on the porch, bird watching and listening to them sing was very peaceful and relaxing. The cherry on the top was when Dirk took us into the breading chamber and showed us the little ostriches hatching on the working farm. No commercial ostrich farm offers that amazing experience. "Wir waren im November da. Wir hatten das 4 Bettappartment. Unser 1. Eindruck : Ghosthouse. Die Anreise war schon spuky, obwohl wir uns per E-Mail extra vorher angekündigt hatten und nachfragten wie wir nach 17 Uhr aus das Gelände kommen, keine Antwort. Aus den Bewertungen wussten wir dass wir für das Tor einen Code benötigen. Tja irgendwie haben wir einen Weg rein gefunden und dann auch den Weg in unsere FW. Es ist alles sehr alt, muffig und die Küche allein ist 100 Jahre alt, aus den 20gern....

Extraordinaria experiencia un lugar excepcional

"Es un lugar mágico. 62.000 hectáreas de tierras salvajes pero perfectamente cuidadas por un equipo de 180 profesionales desde guardas, seguridad, veterinarios, gerencia, camareros, chefs, servicio de limpieza que son realmente adorables en todo la amplitud del término, además de excepcionales profesionales. Las instalaciones son impecables teniendo en cuenta que están en medio de la naturaleza pero a tiro de piedra de Cape Town (2 horas y media de viaje en coche). Los guías son unos apasionados de la naturaleza fauna y flora y se lo saben todo. Hay lugares más salvajes quizás más lujosos pero no tan cerca de una gran ciudad y desde luego con un equipo tan extraordinario como el de Sambona. "
