"If you want something remote, peaceful, quiet, surrounded by nature - this is it!! Exactly what we were looking for. I will say - Wifi did not work at all and service was spotty...and if you're trying to go out every day and do things, it is a 25+ min drive down the mountain just to reach normal roads. The multiple levels of the house allow for space and privacy if desired and the main level has plenty of room to gather around the kitchen. "We’ve stayed in many VRBO places and this is my very favorite. Hated to leave. Loved the creek running right by the house and spent a lot of time enjoying it. Home is beautifully decorated, well stocked, easy to get into Franklin. Didn’t have a chance to use the fire circles as the weather didn’t cooperate on the day we were free. Nice hike at Rufus Morgan trail and gorgeous views at Wayah Bald and tower. Kathy was very responsive to any questions. Hope to return some day "

"My family and I headed to Franklin for a long weekend with a large group (four families) ranging in age from 2-70. The cabin had ample space for everyone to gather together for meals ad well as their own space for sleeping. The house was clean, beautifully decorated and fully stocked with all we needed. Close to hiking trails and a waterfall everyone was able to walk to. Beautiful view from front porch and large yard for the children to explore! "

"If you like beautiful mountain views, you will love this cottage. It is up a steep gravel one lane road. My large, two wheel drive SUV did okay with that but putting it in low gear helped a little more. You must go very slowly and watch for ruts and holes in the road. Thankfully, I never met another vehicle coming in the opposite direction as there are deep ruts on each side of the road. But the Fall colors were on full display and we did not want to leave.
