"This was a pleasant surprise- front desk staff upgraded us to a suite with views of both harbor and mountains when we told them it was my partner’s birthday. All staff were incredibly friendly and kind. Bed was extremely comfortable with lots of pillows and soft sheets. Location is right in the downtown area near all restaurants, shops, and public transit yet quite quiet. Our 3 night stay was excellent! "We loved our view of the harbor from our room. It was interesting to watch the boats come and go. We were entertained and amused to watch the deck hands fillet fish efficiently and effortlessly at the end of each fishing day. "

"I was allowed an early check-in, which was fantastic in that I was in pain and needed a place to rest. The only down side was that I had some questions for the desk clerk and she was never at the front. I checked back 4 times within a foot hour stretch and no one was ever there. "

"Great place to stay. Roomy and clean. If you are bothered by dog noise such as running back and forth on the floor above and barking this may not be ideal. If that doesn’t bother you then you will love staying here. We had a rental car so getting in to town was a breeze. It’s a fair walk into town but doable. The car was great for getting to some of the more remote areas of Sitka for hiking and nature. "

"We loved the view, the location and the early mornings and evenings when the town is quiet. The surrounding downtown had meals, drinks and sights within walking distance and we used the local transit bus otherwise. The apartment was clean and well-appointed for an extended stay. We'd definitely book again!!"
