"This stay was a homecoming for me, since my parents had lived right on the St. Lawrence, and nearly the entirety of my late mom's family still live nearby. The area is largely agricultural, with many dairy farms and green pastures. It is a truly beautiful part of NY State and we were very much looking forward to getting back there to visit. "Trout Lake has been an annual summer trip for us for the last 7 years and this house is our favorite rental by far. The cottage is cozy, but well appointed. We love the extensive waterfront in this beautiful cove and spend most of our time on the pontoon, in kayaks, hanging out on the dock or in the game room, and playing in the beautifully clear water. We had a relaxing time and enjoyed many of the outdoor amenities. We invited his friends over to enjoy a home-cooked meal, to play some pickleball, and to make smores!
