"The place looks a bit drab from the outside but inside we had a warm welcome from Mary and Lynn and very much enjoyed the cosy bar and restaurant. The rooms were comfortable and warm, the latter an important consideration given that we were hiking and getting wet! "

"Check-in was at the bar. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There's limited on street parking but I was lucky enough to a space right outside. The food in the bar/restaurant looked superb and it was fairly busy when I got there, however I didn't try the food as I already had other plans for the evening. I did have a drink at the bar and the prices were reasonable. I was shown to my room, which was in a separate block adjacent to the bar and beer garden. The ground floor room was clean...

"If you are looking to stay in a traditional English Pub, this is the place. Cozy rooms with great washroom facilities. Very clean and comfortable beds. Rooms are equipped with electricity outlets, wifi and tv for those needing it. The pub itself is fantastic with a very well stocked bar. The restaurant serves home cooked meals with a great selection of local produce. From this location you are pretty central to either coast and Dartmoor itself. "This is a lovely old little B&B, with a cute country charm and lovely, friendly staff. Great food for vegetarians at breakfast and dinner. Nice room with lovely views of the countryside. Due to the rural and old nature of the pub, it was a little dusty and probably in need of a lick of paint, but this certainly shouldn’t deter people from staying. It was everything we needed during our stay!"
