Wonderful family getaway
We wanted a relaxing place for my daughter's 20th birthday. This was perfect. The communication with the owners before and during our stay was great. They answered all my questions before our trip quickly and were very helpful during our trip. We had a fresh loaf of banana bread and sweet note to greet us. There were 7 of us traveling including my three year old twin granddaughters. The house had everything we needed from books to games even the rainy days were enjoyable. The views of the lake were beautiful from the kitchen table and back deck. The sunsets were awesome. The whole family loved fishing and the fire pit. We also went to the woodlands nature station and the elk and bison prairie near by. We would love to come back when it is warmer to enjoy the paddle boat and kayaks. This house has everything for a great family getaway.

Relaxing - peaceful -rejuvenating stay!
My husband and I enjoyed a weeklong getaway at the Lakeside cottage. The home was perfect. The hosts were outstanding! And the views were amazing. We enjoyed our morning coffee by the lake. Felt adventurous kayaking up and down the river. Enjoyed our daily walks up and down the shoreline. We saw so many bald eagles. And it was neat to see barges so close. And the sunsets were stunning! To top it all off, the hosts were excellent and made us feel so welcome. They were kind, generous, and so helpful. They were quick to respond to any questions I had. The banana bread to welcome us to the cottage was so appreciated. (And so good) We enjoyed meeting them and seeing them throughout our stay. I highly recommend this cottage. And we hope to return soon.

Beautiful and Relaxing Trip!
I’m a little late in posting a review, but I certainly wanted to make sure I did so!! What a wonderful, relaxing week my husband and I had at Lakeside Cottage!! The area is so beautiful, and peaceful! I am a HUGE clean freak and am very picky. I’m that person that rents a vacation home and cleans it once arriving. Not kidding. But immediately walking in and exploring this rental I noticed immediately that that was not necessary. So refreshing and made it feel so homey! We spent mornings and evenings on the deck that overlooks beautiful Kentucky Lake, explored the surrounding area, kayaked, walked on the beach and saw beautiful sunsets! We can’t thank Vince and Pat enough for the hospitality and care they’ve put into this place! We WILL be back!!

Labor Day Getaway
The hosts are amazing and very accommodating. Thank you again for the early check in and the tasty banana bread. The house was very clean and was comfy and cozy. We enjoyed our trips to the lake and around the community driving with the golf cart. We will definitely stay again if we are back in the area. Thank you for a wonderful Labor Day weekend trip with friends.

Amazing
My husband and I were looking for a nice place to celebrate our 44th anniversary. And we found Lakeside Cottage. This cottage was everything we were looking for in comfort, coziness and relaxation. The inside was decorated so nice and warm. Everything listed on amenities was available, everything you can think of. Activities also available. This made for non-stressful packing and less worry. And then there is the lake view...WOW. So wonderful to eat meals or just relax on the deck and admire the lake view and its sunsets. Vince and Pat are so kind and gracious. They go above and beyond to make your stay delightful and enjoyable. From the fresh baked bread to encouraging a call for anything needed. They even texted us a happy anniversary...how cool. I highly recommend this little piece of paradise to others! Hope to make a trip back someday.

Nice getaway spot and great hosts
The hosts are amazing! Made sure to get us info before visit about house/location, answered all questions we had in timely matter, and even made sure to let us know they were around if needed anything. Great location to for us and 4 kids to relax on the lake shore, fish, kayak, pedal boat and just enjoy time away from our normal day to day. House was very clean and had everything we needed and more! Just ourselves, food, sunscreen and bug spray was all we needed to have a super time.

Fabulous stay at the Lakeside Cottage
We had a wonderful week at the Lakeside Cottage. The cottage was decorated nicely with a lake theme. It was comfy and cozy. We loved the view. We enjoyed boating, swimming, hiking and spending time by the fire pit at night. We couldn’t have asked for a better time at the Lakeside Cottage. The banana bread from Vince and Pat was delicious and a nice surprise.

Relaxing Stay!

Beautiful cottage with a great view!
We had a great time at The Lakeside Cottage! The cottage is decorated beautifully! We loved all the little details including the puzzle and games. And the views of the lake are outstanding! We enjoyed going down to the beach every night to see the sunset. Each night the sunset was different and more beautiful than the night before. I highly recommend staying at the Cottage!

Awesome Getaway
First I must commend the Host Vince and Pat. They are absolutely wonderful people. Very accommodating from the time we arrived till the time we left.. We were greeted with a huge loaf of homemade banana bread that was out of this world. The Cottage was gorgeous and came with all the amenities to make our stay comfortable. The view from the back patio was beautiful. We spent every evening down by the lake watching the sunset that was a different kind of beautiful every evening. Very peaceful place to go and relax. I actually had to do some work while there and had no problem with the super fast Wi-Fi that is provided which was a huge plus. Even the few people we met who live in the community were very nice. This is definitely a great place to stay and we will be back. Thanks again to Vince and Pat for making this a memorable trip.

Awesome and Inviting
This house has it all. Just show up with your luggage and groceries. We felt at home the moment we stepped inside. Our hosts couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Although we spent a great deal of time away from the property, the time spent there was relaxing and worry free. When the power went out, they updated us on restoration progress. We will definitely stay again if we come back to this area. A big thanks to Vince and Pat!!

Beautiful Lake house retreat
WOW What a Beautiful lake house. I can't say enough wonderful things about our stay. We stayed on the go. If you love to antiquing, or just taking in all the sites like visiting the 1850 working and Living history Museum or just relaxing watching the barges go down the lake here is your place. The owner Vince and Pat were wonderful very attentive. I gave this a star all the way. Thank-you

Perfect spot for relaxing
My niece and I selected this spot to use an area base for . It was exactly as represented. Hosts were very responsive. Had it been warmer we would have attempted to use the paddle boat. Very comfortable home with a number of games amd puzzles provided. Would definitely stay again.

Spring Break 2024
The Lakeside Cottage did not disappoint! The cottage was very clean, nicely decorated, and had everything needed to enjoy the stay- even a large selection of board games. The sunsets were stunning and the fishing was fun. It was a great place to unwind and relax. Vince and Pat had top-notch hospitality and even dropped off a homemade loaf of banana bread when we arrived. We highly recommend the Lakeside Cottage and we hope to return again in the future!

Quiet Retreat
What a stunning location to view sunrises, sunsets and Kentucky Lake! I have never heard such beautiful quiet. Gorgeous home with plenty of room for you and yours - games and movies for all ages, fire pit, sundeck with lounge chairs, glass top table and chairs for meals on the back porch, and the loveliest view of the sunset from inside the home at the dining table. The hosts thought of every details - it was a delight to stay at the Lakeside Cottage.
