On arrival, we were put into the wrong apartment for the first night. We then changed to the apartment that had been advertised. It wasn’t as clean as we are used to especially in Dubai; the floor and sofa was stained and the glass on the balcony was filthy.
My biggest concern was that we didn’t have gas throughout the trip so if we did wasn’t to cook, it would have been difficult. There was no kettle either so we could not boil water. This was resolved with a kettle being supplied to us but on the 3rd day of being at the apartment.
Lastly, the service at the Five hotel was appalling. The hotel looks fantastic with great facilities but the service around the main pool and pool restaurant was the worst I have ever experienced. It’s extremely expensive but took an hour most days to receive your food/drink order and it was difficult to get a bed around the pool unless you spent a minimum of 500 dirhams.
