Awful service and ok room
The room was fine. Clean but uncomfortable bed, and the bathroom is right next to the bed. The service was horrible, since the moment we arrived. No communication at all. They did not give us check in or check out instructions, and they were not clear at all about working hours. Will not be staying there again.

Hello Benjamnin,on the Hotels.com our check-in and check-out informations are obligated to provide. If you missed to read it we will not held responsible. Working hours are written on our entrance doors which is also obligated by the law.We know why you left this kind of review, you wanted to check-out at 12 (noon) which was not available since our check-out is by 10am...still you decided to leave your stuff inside of the room until noon and made our cleaning lady wait for 2 hours. Your comment on that was: we don't care about your working hours! Very disrespectful!

Cero empatía con alguien con discapacidad 😡
Era para mis padres... en ningún lado hacía referencia a la dificultada para personas con discapacidad... y el hotel NO es accesible pues hay que subir más de 150 escalones SIN ascensor. La persona que recibe solo estaba interesada en cubrir sus tres días y no en ayudar a mis papás a encontrar una solución. Cero empatía

Inside the walls near the Buze (sp) gate. Be prepared to climb a zillion steps - standard procedure everywhere inside the walls. Staff was especially helpful with luggage transport to Buze gate at end of stay.

Nice view, but lots of stairs
It’s a beautiful room with a nice view of the roof tops. However, it is quite small. Everything was very well done, except for explaining how the hot water works which was disappointing. Nothing like a cold shower in the morning. There are a lot of stairs to get to the building and then additional stairs to the room up a narrow staircase. If you are not in good physical shape, and are not able to carry your bags then I would not recommend it.

We stayed at La Vita e Bella II for 3 nights. The location is fantastic on the right side of the town for being dropped off and picked up (this is quite a big thing given the sheer number of stairs either side of the town). You are meters from a street full of restaurants and less than 5 minutes from the harbour and Main Street. The office for the accommodation (where you collect keys and can leave bags is also very close). The accommodation itself is lovely and very clean with a nice shower, yes there are stairs to get to it, but not too many! Would definitely stay again.

I had an amazing stay. The staff was super nice and the location can't be beat. Clean and modern and so many extra little toiletries and niceties. Loved it there!!

Communication with reception was poor. Shower was grimy and shower floor was in bad shape. Floors in the room were not clean. Will not recommend this place.

We were not told that our room required 97 steps up stone stairs from the Plaza. This was relevant because we had very heavy bags and no one to help us lug them up The shower door was broken and there was almost no toilet paper and just 1 coffee pod at check I We needed to call front desk several times to remedy

The property is small but has everything you might need. We loved the fact that it’s inside Old Town as that was our preference, it’s great to be there even for small period of time. Closer to everything. The staff was amazing and they helped us promptly with our bags. Too many stairs, plan on using that help! They also helped with transportation to the airport. Highly recommended!

Great location. Nice room for being in the old town where rooms are small and expensive but this one was decent value and a nice place to stay.

The reception is separate from the building where we stayed, which is actually a very good thing. Our building had only one room per floor, making for a quiet room in the ancient, walled city. Charm of old merged w/modern updates!

Look, it was small but comfortable and very nice being in heart of old town Dubrovnik. The ‘system’ to access the apt was very cumbersome. Can’t anyone streamline how to get a ket, electronic or otherwise. Of course, no one on-site to welcome you etc. In our case, TV had two remotes and no explanation how they turned on TV. Turned out, battery was dead in one remote, but took way way way too long to determine that was the problem, thus we had no TV during our stay. We let them know we thought that was the problem via WhatsApp but….no one came to fix or replace them. During our last day, the e-key locked us out, and was a hassle to get someone to help us. They did end up not charging us the city tax because of the TV, but….bottom line: these new “staff less” venues need to really work on documentation for users, and ways to help customers when stuff goes wrong.

When you check in they are polite and super helpful. We were able to leave our bags at the desk in the AM while we explored the city. Came back that evening and got our room key and baggage. Room was fantastic! Easy walk to everything in Old Town Dubrovnik. In the AM we checked out and left our bags at the office. We picked up our bags in the afternoon and caught the ferry back to Cavtat. Great experience! Highly recommend!

The room was very accommodating, well equipped to the point of having slippers and robe. Towels were of the uttermost quality, that you’ll only get in 5 stars hotels. Nespresso machine and a lot of pods for you to use. A kettle for tea. Water in the fridge. All toiletries were good quality and of the best aromas. And the location is one block to main street Stradun. Some steps to climb, but it’s Dubrovnik.

Charming apartment room in the heart of Old Town Dubrovnik. Easy walk, if you don’t mind a few stairs, to many great restaurants and shops and just far enough from the main square that it’s not too loud. Check-in and communication with management was really easy. Using WhatsApp, we messaged back and forth with Aleta and were able to get our keys after a long day of traveling. She was also really helpful about the local area. Our room was perfect for two traveling sisters ! Would definitely recommend using La Vita e Bella. They have seven properties in Old Town with different sized apartments. We loved living within the Old Walls of Dubrovnik. Croatia is a beautiful country and Dubrovnik should be on everyone’s bucket list !!

Room was fine. Good location in walled town. Room key card malfunctioned one evening which was a bit frustrating-but manager resolved issue promptly. We inadvertently left a couple articles of clothing. It’s unfortunate that management didn’t acknowledge-we sure could have used the raincoat later in our journey.

Difficile l’accès, mais beau studio.
Location dans la vielle ville ! Difficile l’accès , il vaut mieux être en assez bonne forme physique , pour rejoindre l’appartement il faut monter des escaliers depuis le centre car zone piétonne oblige. Bonne qualité de l’infrastructure en général, petit mais bien organisée. Très bien pour 3 jours au maximum, le temps de visiter la ville et quelques tours en bateau.

The room was not clean , coffee pot and tea pot dirty. Toilet paper in the floor. People in upstairs room very loud at 2 am . Hostess just took our money and very desinterested . Only good thing was the location

Dear Helena, thanks for sharing your experience with us, although of course we'd prefer to be a better one. Regarding the guests upstairs, we agree their behavior was totally impolite and disrespectful of the house rules and of the other guests, and we had to intervene more than once, you were not the only one who complained. However, the rest is obviously on us. We take cleaning issues very seriously and we already made sure it won't happen again. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. Halfway to the stars...
The place was immaculate, and beautifully situated in the center of the old town. One thing that cannot be stressed enough is that it is several blocks of steps up from the main street in Dubrovnik. If you have any kind of luggage, it is a real struggle to climb the stairs up the street to the hotel door, and then depending on what floor your room is on, one to three more flights inside the hotel. We missed this when booking the reservation and it was quite an unpleasant surprise when we arrived. The very nice lady checking us in even told us that she had to deal with a woman in a wheelchair who was booked and could not make it up the stairs - it is definitely NOT wheelchair accessible. Otherwise, it's a sweet little place, compact but comfortable, and the location is perfect for sightseeing.

Very often we're really sorry to see how people review us poorly just because they didn't read the property description carefully enough to understand there will be stairs to reach the house, and then, as you said, also possibly some more to reach the room. In Dubrovnik, it's all about the stairs, that's part of its charm, but not everyone understands in advance what to expect. Clean and comfortable in the heart of old town
I stayed here on my first night of a week long trip through Croatia. The apartment is easy to find and in a great part of the Old Town. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom facilities worked great. My flight landed quite early and I was able to arrange an early check-in. I received excellent restaurant recommendations (I tried two) and overall had a great time for a first day after long travel.

Very modern, well finished in a great location.
Knocked a star off because you have to call in advance so someone can meet you at the apartment and let you in but the number listed for property was incorrect so we had to find it from a local. The place is new so there were a few teething issues but apart from the finish of the apartment was very nice and the location is perfect, close to the main square. Apartment was a bit small but i think most are in dubrovnik.

Yes, you stayed in a typical Dubrovnik house in the heart of the Old Town so there's not much that could be done regarding the property layout - hence the room sizes (20-25m2). This hotel is located in the Old city center of Dubrovnik, short walk from everything in the old center. The Hotel is beautiful and Karla the host is simply amazing and provides service well above expectations.
