Simply the Best
Beautiful cottage with great facilities. The decor was inspiring and the view from the courtyard whilst enjoying breakfast was so spectacular. Information shared by hosts for managing your way around Dubrovnik was very helpful. Thanks so much for a fantastic time in a very special cottage.

Great view from a traditional house
The house is part of a traditional ensemble of 3 houses, 2 of which are occupied by the owners. The view is outstanding, especially with moonlight behind the cedar trees! The path towards the parking spot is extremely steep and narrow (between two walls). We didn'd dare driving up with a Ford S-Max. Besides this, everything was perfect. Small supermarket within 5min walking distance. Very convenient. Waste separation was a bit difficult as every country does it differently and a clear description of what to do in Croatioa would help.

Sweet spot
We loved being in Trsteno. Easy to grt in and out of Dubrovnik. Beautiful, idyllic location that was very peaceful. The Arboretum and beach were big bonuses. I saw some reviews that warned of the driveway. I liked it..

Summer cottage
The overall neatness and attractive quality of the cottage was better than the pictures. Good attention to construction and details making it a very nice place. The drive up the narrow steep driveway was a little harrowing, but that’s Croatia for you. Be careful with the top step of the staircase, could be a fall risk.

Magnifique intérieur, bâtisse superbe, des imprécisions dans l'annonce.
Intérieur superbement rénové, très propre, beau matériaux. Bâtisse ancienne et authentique avec beaucoup de style. J'aimerai toutefois apporter quelques précisions par rapport à l'annonce: l’extérieur est plutôt restreint: seul le patio est à la disposition des hôtes, par exemple sur certaines photos, on voit un balcon face à la mer avec des colonnades, mais qui n'est pas inclus dans la location; une canisse, absente sur les photos, ferme complètement l’ouverture du patio à gauche de la vieille porte bleue; l'accès en voiture est très étroit entre 2 murets de pierre et extrêmement pentu (15 ou 20%), nous avons préféré laisser la voiture de location 50m en contrebas (à la première tentative j'ai failli y laisser l'embrayage de la voiture de location, je n'ai pas insisté, je ne suis peut-être pas doué). En résumé nous avons bien sûr grandement apprécié de nous y retrouver le soir après nos sorties (Dubrovnik est à 20mn en voiture) ou pour prendre le petit déjeuner dans un décor traditionnel.

Misleading advert and inconsiderate owner
The cottage itself was nicely renovated and well-equipped, with large comfortable beds, air conditioning etc. Not recommended for anyone even slightly infirm as there is no landing at the top of the steep stairs and the bathroom is downstairs. The parking too is not for the faint-hearted, very tight and uneven! Our biggest problem was the fact that the advert and photos gave the impression that the cottage is stand alone in a quiet location - it is anything but. It is actually joined to the owner's property and the outdoor patio area is only a few feet from his front door. That would not have been a problem, but for the fact that he spent 5 of the 7 days we stayed using loud power tools, morning, afternoon and evening, to renovate a boat on adjoining land. He was often accompanied by friends, who joined in the drinking and hammering.This rendered the outdoor space virtually unusable for dining and relaxing for most of the week. The fact that he had electric cables strewn all over the cottage steps and the cellar kitchen area, supposed to be included in the rental, also made for a health and safety nightmare. For at least 3 of the days his builders, working on a new project behind the cottage, started at 7am with more power tools and hammering. After we complained to the managing agents about the noise, he carried on with the work, even making what looked like a derisory joke about us to his friend. He showed a shameful and wanton disregard for his paying guests!

Schöne Fewo vor den Toren von Dubrovnik
Hübsche und sehr saubere Ferienwohnung, etwa 25 Minuten mit dem Pkw bis Dubrovnik. Ausreichende Ausstattung für vier Personen. Landstraße ist weit genug weg, stört kaum. Hübscher Essplatz im Freien. Zufahrt ist eng und recht steil, aber machbar. Im Zweifel kann Auto auch ein paar Meter unterhalb geparkt werden. Etwas lästig waren lediglich die Ameisen. In der Küche bessere nichts offen liegen lassen.

Sehr schönes Haus
Wir, 2 Erwachsene, 1 Teenager und 1 Hund, hatten einen sehr schönen zweiwöchigen Aufenthalt im summer cottage. Es ist alles so vorhanden wie in der Beschreibung dargestellt. Der Eigentümer wohnt mit seiner Familie direkt nebenan, aber man merkt sie kaum. Vielen Dank für einen angenehmen Urlaub!

Ein kleines Häuschen auf dem Land. Für 2 Personen wunderbar. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind mit dem Auto gut erreichbar. Es hat nichts gefehlt, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Beautiful house, central location
The house is beautiful (but also a bit small for 4), conveniently close to the beaches and Dubrovnik. It's a nice walk down to the harbor (15 minutes) where you can swim, but there are no facilities there.
