We arrived at 2 to see if we could check in an hour early. There were 2 cars in the entire parking lot and the manager refused to allow. There had to be A single clean room an hour before check in with hardly anyone staying in the hotel. She didn't offer a reason and was crabby at being asked. I asked if she could tell me where our room would be and she said that she couldn't tell us that until 3:00.
At breakfast the next morning, my kids were by the bread canister and she came over and slammed it shut telling them that it needs to start shut so flies didn't get in.
We had to get our room transferred to another because the AC didn't work. This too was met with hostility and a bad overall attitude that seems to be just par for the course at this hotel.
I have stayed at other baymonts and have never had issues like this. Would not stay in dubuque again and should have been refunded partially since we were in a room with no air for 2-3 hours on an extremely hot day. These things should be checked into prior to check in.
Room 224 probably still has issues because I'm sure the manager doesn't care. Hire someone that likes people.
