Gorgeous getaway
We had a great time. The unit was clean, has comfortable beds, a lot of beautiful art and little touches that made it a stand out. The sauna was amazing and we loved the fire pit and our view of the lake. Ample kitchen ware and appliances that truly made it easy to make meals like being at home. The only downside is that it is in the basement of a home and we could hear footsteps and motion from the upstairs quite early some mornings that woke us up. Would definitely stay here again.

Hope to stay here next time we are in Duluth
Overall this quiet comfortable Hillside Retreat provided just about all I would ask for in a short term rental. I liked the convenient parking steps away from our door, having one and a half bathrooms. My favorite part about this spot was the private sauna. We hope to have the opportunity to stay here next time we are in Duluth.

Great stay!
We booked the Hilltop Retreat for 2 nights with another couple. It was well-equipped, clean & comfortable! My only wish would have been to get the check in details a little earlier, but overall we had a great time & would totally book again!

Girls birthday weekend
It was easy to come and go, and it was easy to get to the main sites in Duluth. The rooms were spacious, and the beds were comfortable. We loved the attention to detail with the decorating. It was nice having two bathrooms for our group.

Christmas With Our Kids
Our son and daughter-in-law live just up the hill, so this location was perfect! It was comfortable for us four parents of our kids, and it enabled us to participate in the Christmas cooking. We would definitely recommend Hilltop Retreat!

Duluth Hiking Trip
We had a great time visiting Duluth! The house was a relaxing place to come back to, from a fire outside and driveway basketball to relaxing in the sauna, it was a perfect home base after hiking and exploring the Duluth area.

A Cozy Getaway
This was a very nice property. We took advantage of the fire pit and were surprised to see they had a basketball hoop in the driveway. Overall it was a very nice place and we would stay again.

Bigger and better than expected
Very nice place to stay. Clean and had plenty of room for family of 4. Had all the things needed for a 5 day stay. Sauna was nice but just used once. Would rent again for sure. Just not sure it had air conditioning even though the listing said it did. Couldn’t find any vents and it was a bit warmer than we wanted.

If I could give six stars, I would. Loved the setting, property was well-maintained, decor was wonderful and warm. Barely heard the people upstairs (like maybe 5 footsteps one night). Close to everything. Highly recommend!

As Comfortable As Home
This property couldn't have been better suited to our family's needs. As business owners we don't get a lot of downtime or many opportunities to get away. We weren't looking to be touristy. We wanted a space where we could just hang out together, play games and relax. The aesthetic was clean and cozy with clever, intentional touches. The furniture and beds were comfortable, and everything was in good working order. We had a small issue with an electrical breaker, but management was quick to respond and resolve the issue. We would definitely stay again. It felt like home away from home.
